Dismissed
27 years old, presenting with swelling, soreness, and foot discoloration. Told that I’m young and there’s no DVT, so it’s not an issue. Got a second opinion and had a venous study. Bilateral venous insufficiency of the lower extremities, with varicose veins. I urge you not to visit this doctor if you are young, and don’t already have a diagnosis because he won’t look for the cause of issue in a young individual.

cecil volvulus
I was in Doctor hospital and was diagnosed with Cecal volvulussuggested bowel necrosisDr Halaby explained to me that this was life-threatening and surgery was needed immediately to be done. He came down the middle of the night and this after the CT scanthe time Dr. Epstein told me I had to have surgery Dr. HALaby was there seem like Minutesknowledgeable explain everything to me and I felt like I was in good hands and I am here today. Thanks to him.

Caring compassionate surgeon
Dr Halaby has performed 2 surgeries on me and 1 on my husband. He and his nurse practitioner are knowledgeable and excellent at what they do. We would never go anywhere else. Dr Halaby goes out of his way, above and beyond for his patients.

Very thorough, excellent doctor
I had a blood clot and Dr. Halaby followed up a month later and saw that it had not improved, so he performed a thrombectomy. When I was having a completely different surgery three months later, he coordinated with the surgeon and had a filter put in my leg to make sure no clots would go to my heart. I found him to be an excellent, thorough, and caring doctor.

Had surgery scheduled and they called to tell me to come to the hospital an hour earlier since he was ready for me. I got to the hospital at 11:00 am. At 4:00 pm Halaby still didn’t show up! I hadn’t had anything to eat or drink since 8:00 pm the night before and had none of my blood pressure medicine which for me could be fatal. I was furious, didn’t know what to do so my husband and I decided enough was enough and left. He was a nice man but nice doesn’t equal excellence or respect for patients. No excuse for what he did and I never got a phone call, apology or explanation.

I had Dr. Halaby just recently do surgery on the veins in my legs. I am thrilled at the job he did and the pain I had before surgery was not good, and now my legs are perfect and no pain. I give him 5 stars because I don't think I could've found anyone better than Dr. Halaby to perform my surgery. Thank you so much. I would highly recommend him.

Dr Halaby took really great care of me, he is a wonderful surgeon. Terrific bedside manor. Explained and even drew out a diagram of what he was going to do. He made me feel really comfortable. I needed emergency abdominal surgery for ingesting a wire from a grill cleaning brush that perforated my bowel. If you have one, please throw it away and tell your family and friends too. He also fixed a small hernia in the incision area. I did not get to choose him, I hope you do, you will not be sorry.

Dr. Halaby explained what my surgery entailed and was very personable and showed concern for me. I couldn't have asked for a more competent surgeon to be available when I needed emergency surgery. He saved my life. During follow-up visits, he answered all my questions and was very thorough.

my was experience was an emergency. i had a perforated colon and needed to make an instant decision. Dr Halaby wwent over all my options and madeit clear that i needed imediate surgery and that i had no real other choice due to the risk of sepsis infection.

I chose Dr Halaby because one of my Dr's thinks that he is a Great Surgereon. He did surgery on my wife which she was in the hospital for a number of days about 3 years ago. I just had surgery two weeks ago and I'm doing great.

I chose Dr. Halaby from many general surgeons in the area for my hernia repair surgery based upon input from several health care professionals, as well as the fact that Dr. Halaby had his residency at Strong Hospital in Rochester, NY. I made a very wise choice! Dr. Halaby is a very skilled surgeon who is compassionate and patient oriented. He readily takes the time to explain any question or concern when asked and appointments aren't rushed. I am very satisfied with his care.
