Dr. Ismet Lukolic, MD

I went to Dr Lukolic after hearing good things from friends and relatives. I have gastroparesis from lengthy undiagnosed celiacs. I waited for almost two years for an initial appointment and had the office manager try and cancel my appointment the afternoon prior for various reasons that kept changing. Dr Lukolic was very kind and listened to everything I had to say. He asked to see my previous medical records that I had brought with me even though I had faxed them to his office almost two years prior. He said that the gastroparesis and celiacs were unrelated which multiple studies show otherwise and had me do a series of labs. On the follow up visit he told me I didn’t have celiacs disease. I asked is that what the test showed. He said yes unless you tell me you’ve been on a gluten free diet. I told him I’ve been gluten free since I was diagnosed with celiacs by Penn medicine almost 10 years ago. He then informed me that I had alpha gal from a tick bite.

He was very thorough and did tests while in the hospital that showed what my problem was and he took care of what he could and also told me what else needed to be done elsewhere.
