Dr. Irma Castro, MD

My 85 year old seditary mother was late to an appointment 10 minutes and they would not take her. A driving service took her and we called to let them know. They were not willing to accomidate my mother even though the appointment time that we scheduled prior was changed by them suddenly so then we had to switch everything to make it there. The worst part of the entire visit was that the office staff had the ordacity to talk about my mother and me behind our back as if we did not understand what they were saying. They are a rude and inconsiderate staff and in over 10 years of time making visits to this office we are fed up with their service. Dr. Castro is not a physician I recommend.

When I first meet Dr Castro she was short and to the point. I told her what was wrong and shared some of my past abuses. I remember what she told me. Your health is your responsibility, if you continue to abuse yourself don’t expect a miracle from me however if you continue to stay clean and fallow my recommendations you can live a good and healthy life….

In my opinion this person should not be treating patients. She is honestly an overall terrible person. She is rude, inconsiderate, lacks listening skills, and lacks compassion. No person should see this “doctor”. She is no professional.

Dr. Castro is very knowledgeable

She’s rude and inconsiderate, very judgmental towards pregnancy and any questions I had she made me feel dumb and uncomfortable she said my appointment was worthless since I’m pregnant and she can’t do any blood work because it’d be pointless since I can’t be treated due to pregnancy. I’ve never in my life felt belittled by anyone specially not a “health professional.” I’d give her zero stars if I could. Insensitive, inconsiderate and unprofessional. Also they misspelled my name on all my paperwork. When I mentioned it she said that was fine it wasn’t a problem!!

My initial visit was not great but I hung in with her and she with me and I found she covers all my health needs (blood tests, referrals, keeping tabs of the #"s, etc.). I feel this makes any inconviences to be tolerable. I feel she is a good Dr.

She's rude she looks down on people with addictions I do not recommend her at all.

I've never had an experience like the visit with Dr. Castro. she was very judgmental and rolled her eyes at me numerous times, gazing at me as if she was totally disgusted. I don't know how she has any patients. She actually brought me to tears, I felt so degraded and discriminated against, by her. And changing doctors immediately. I surely wish I would have read the reviews, before going to that appointment.

My first experience meeting with Dr Castro she only addressed one of my health issues which was I had went to the hospital a couple of days prior due to having an upper respiratory infection and shortness of breath I explained to her I was still having difficulty breathing and she asked if I had anxiety. I said yes, she asked what medication I'm on for it, I replied none she found that very surprising. She quoted with her hands that due to my anxiety I just think I'm not breathing well, rudeaf

I had a very great visit with Dr. Castro. Their very responsive and respectful. The assistant ,was very kind too. I'm very thankful for their services.

I'd never recommend her to anyone. She is so rude, and her lack of compassion is discusting.

Came in to see if I had an infection. Instead...this "Dr." decides to bring up my cholesterol instead. Asking if my family has a history or high cholesterol (answer: no). Her response, 'oh....well I guess it's just you with the bad diet.' And during our procedure, she was flipping on her phone. HELLO!!!?!! Is this a real professional!?! She's the most rudest and horrible Dr. I have ever had in my entire life. Don't waste your time with her.

This is the WORST Dr I've ever had in my life! She always has an associate Dr's see patients (all though theyre MUCH better/nicer/knowledgeable) because she is so greedy she takes too many patients! She's SO rude! It took several months just to get my prescription I should have every-month because she inaccurately writes prescriptions constantly! She doesn't listen to anything you say or care! She couldn't do one thing right...all she cares about us billing your insurance!!

I wasn't even acknowledged by staff when I checked in.Dr. Castro was very rude, didn't allow me to explain my issues fully & when I did say anything she would give me this look & scoff & roll her eyes as if I was dumb for asking! She made a comment about needing to find a new job. (Um yeah I agree) I have never been treated so poorly ever & left the office completely frustrated.1st & last time I definitely won't be going back! I can go on & on but I'm only limited to 500 characters. Beware! Run!

worst experience I have ever had ! Arrived 6:30 AM as the insurance told me to waisted 5 hours , and after dealing with the rude staff I sat back in the patient waiting room for two hours! Dr castro was rude,dismissive and only spent 5 minwith me.she did not address any of the issues I needed to address concerning it was my first visit with her. I left with none of my regular medications no check up, and a weird prescription for schizophrenia meds I left crying , frustrated, finding new dr!!!!

I have never had somebody be so rude to me and so inconsiderate. She's in and out and makes sure you know that she doesn't care. If you ask a questions she will get really annoyed and flustered. I put up with this for a long time. Everytime I went I was in tears afterwards. This recent visit was the last straw. After the visit i sat in my car crying and called medical to switch doctors. I told the doctor that I have never been treated like this in my old city and she said you better go back then

Long waiting periods . To make an appointment and be seen. Along with long waiting periods in the waiting room, atleast an hour... Then when she actually makes it into your room, she doesnt connect with her patients and tries to answer all questions for them. Plus, seems like she is always in a rush. Been with her for years, but each and everytime I visit I contemplate why I havent replaced her.

I know a little bit about Dr. Castro. She is an extremely intelligent doctor who decided, on purpose, to have an office in a run down section of Fresno simply because she wants to be more accessible to people who are not rich. Her office is always busy because of her proximity and the clientele are often uneducated. She is a busy woman, but she is very intelligent. If you treat her with courtesy and respect, she will do the same back. I trust her.

She is terrible. Very short and tries to get you out of the door as soon as she steps in the door. She doesn't connect at all.
