Dr. Irene Jaffe, MD

Dr. Jaffe partners with my PCP. I received a phone call from Dr. Jaffe telling me to make a Telehealth appointment to discuss a prescription that I'VE ALREADY HAD AN IN PERSON APPOINTMENT FOR. I was confused as to why I needed to make another one. She literally answered that for me with 'well, how else would we get paid?' Horrible manners. I refuse to have her as part of my care team.

From the very beginning of the visit, Dr. Jaffe was truly awful--aggressive, invalidating, and hurtful. I had booked a telehealth appointment for something that needed an in-person visit (not knowing that it required a lab test), and as soon as this was established, she completely invalidated any questions. She seemed upset at me, personally, for making this mistake, without any regard for the fact that I am simply a patient and personal constraints led me to book a telehealth appointment in the first place. When I literally started crying because of her mistreatment, her response was, "Why are you upset. I have not refused you treatment". Dr. Jaffe's bedside manner is beyond nonexistent, and makes me fear the negative experiences anyone with less privilege than myself may experience.

I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone! This was one of the worst visits I have probably ever had with a doctor. Her bedside manner is awful, she proceeds to chastise and belittle you during your visit when you don’t know the information or aren’t doing something correctly in your own health and does not seem to want to listen to your concerns. Very quick to dismiss you as a patient. I left feeling completely degraded from how she talked to me and treated me.

Great - She got right to my problem, explained what was wrong, my next step options, and her recommendations.

Irene Jaffe is excellent, experience doctor, I visited her 3 times in Urgent Care office in Arlington VA and she helped my health very much. Unfortunately Urgent Care on North Fairfax permanently close due pandemic , I can’t find Dr. Irene Jaffe now.

Terrible doctor! The worst I have ever visited. Will not prescribe ANY type of medication because she believes doctors in general are overmedicating patients. Would not review medical notes from my previous doctor. Horrible bedside manner. Staff are rude. The nurse that took blood from me made it the most painful blood taking experience I've ever felt--and left a bruise that lasted a week!

She is rude and started arguing with me.
