I saw Dr. Husain for an ENT problem recurring for over five years and causing, in tandem with other symptoms, notable impairments on my life. My previous doctor (who was unavailable) had advised I get a scope done, i.e. a larygngoscopy. Dr. Husain examined my throat and indicated there was nothing there at all and absolutely no point in doing a scope "when there's nothing there." I pointed out a white plaque to her and she insisted it was nothing or just mucus. I ultimately returned to my prior doctor for the scope and it revealed large white ulcers on the back of my tonsils and extending down my throat. Of course, the ulcers were causing my ENT symptoms and it became valuable diagnostic information. Had I listed to Dr. Husain's opinion, it would have gone undiagnosed for life. In my opinion, it was nothing but hubris that Dr. Husain missed this and argued with me when as the patient I described a problem I'd experienced for over five years. Please do better by your patients.

After extensive and expensive imaging that clearly showed the esophageal diverticulum, Dr. Inna Husain attempted to repair my Zenker's diverticulum in September 2020. During my initial visit with her, she said she had performed 15 such procedures. Sadly, Dr. Husain, after the procedure, said she searched up and down my esophagus for an hour, could not find the diverticulum, but did puncture my esophagus. The puncture caused me to stay in the hospital for six nights on a feeding tube. I lost 10 lbs., and had greater difficulty swallowing and much worse reflux after her attempted procedure.
