Dr. Indurashmi Mayakrishnan, MD

Dr. Indu is one of the kindest physicians I have ever met. She is extremely intelligent, professional and patient . She listens to you when you have an appointment. She’s not in a hurry and she cares. I have recommended her to many people and our family is grateful to have a doctor, who is as skilled & caring as she.

Dr Indu listens. She is highly competent, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Those things alone put her above 90% of the doctors we went to in Dallas before finding her. She diagnosed the illness without crazy expensive and very inconvenient tests. All of the tests were performed and studied by other doctors in her group in 2 locations, one in Sherman and one in Denison. Those doctors were fantastic as well. Her treatment after diagnosis has given her patient his life back.

Dr. Mayakrishnan is one of the most compassionate caring physicians I have ever met. Despite her overly busy schedule, she always spends a thorough amount of time with my mother and I believe she ligitimately cares. Since my mother is disabled I usually speak to Dr. Mayakrishnan while including my Mom as much as possible and she always shows me the utmost respect. On another note, I am beginning to believe that I may be developing some latent neurological issues, and I can only think of one consummate professional that I am going to see, Dr. Indurashmi Mayakrishinan, thanks for all that you do!!

I have epilepsy and seen a couple of neurologists over the last 3 decades or so. She is the first doctor that has taken time to really explain, and take the time to hear what’s happening. I appreciate her so much. She is a gem.

Dr. Mayakrishnan is a great doctor. I had severe sleep apnea and I now use a ResMed sleep CPAP machine. Dr. Mayakrishnan has been great on helping me overcome my sleep apnea and now I sleep very well and get very good rest at night.

I have a spinal disease that makes it difficult for me to sit or stand for more than a few minutes. I had to wait 2 1/2 hours before this doctor saw me. I was literally hanging off of the chair in severe pain because of the wait. It was bad enough that it took me two months to get the appt. I had previous nerve testing twice including with a rude neurologist in this same practice and new that I had neuropathy. This doctor didn’t ask the reason for my visit and just immediately started lecturing me that they can’t cure neuropathy and that it’s caused by my diabetes and only the symptoms could be treated. She didn’t read ANYTHING that I told the medical assistant about having nerve spasms from head to toe and was concerned about the cause. I could barely get a word in as I tried ti tell her that the Fibromyalgia and one of my autoimmune caused the neuropathy as determined by several other doctors. She just told me no. When I told her that she was being rude, she denied it and I left.

She had excellent bed side manors, but wasn't very familiar with the Inspire device

Took several weeks to schedule appointment. Arrived early and completed additional paperwork. Waited almost an hour (past the appointment time) to see doctor. Doctor was to schedule further tests but never did. I tried multiple times to call the doctor or her staff but this office makes it impossible to talk to a real person. Left numerous voice mails but never received any return phone calls. Finally gave up and scheduled appointment with another doctor. Avoid the drama and hassle of this office.

Dr. Indu is on top of everything going on with me. She is attentive to her patients. Spends the time she needs to with patients. Has a great office staff.

It is great to have a doctor that is caring and thorough. All of the staff are helpful and courteous.

I like Dr. Indu but the staff does not return phone calls, requests or respond to complaints. I am at the point where I am ready to leave and find another neurologist.

Dr. Indu is one of the friendliest, most through doctors I have ever been to. She takes great care in making sure I get the tests I need to find exactly my problems and is very pro active in getting the best care for me. She has discovered problems other doctors have missed. I live in southwest Dallas but it is worth the drive to Sherman to see her, plus we sometimes do the tele-visits. I highly recommend her for both neurology and sleep study.

I've been seeing Dr. Indu for many years now. She is very attentive to what I have to say and cares about her patients. She is great!

Dr. Indu is the absolute best I have seen concerning my Parkinson's over these past years. She is extremely thorough which gives me the self confidence to keep on fighting this terrible disease. I praise God that she has come into my life.
