Dr. Imelyn Lahey, MD

Dr. Lahey took over Dr. Lazar's practice. Seemed ok with first visit in 2021. I requested a chest x-ray due to shortness of breath and previous smoking history. Scheduled a CT scan instead, which was a good suggestion. Scan came back with a nodule on my lung which was growing. I did not get the results via e-mail. Rather, she had one of her office staff call to tell me I had scarring on my lungs. I asked to speak with the doctor and they said she had left for the day so I asked that they have her call me. She never called, instead, set up an appointment for 3 months out. After waiting over an hour to see her, I asked several questions, which she evaded. I said that I was afraid of lung cancer and was not ready to die. Her exact words to me were 'Well, we can't all live forever. And you talk too much. I have other patients to see.' I had been in her office for about 20 minutes. Turns out I did have lung cancer. Went to Fox Chase. I'll never go back to Lahey, not ever!

Dr. Lahey is my family doctor, and I would not see anyone else for my medical needs. She is caring and compassionate and very knowledgeable. My experiences with Dr. Lahey have be outstanding every time I need to see her. The wait time is minimal, and the staff is friendly.
