Not likely at all. I had the worst experience I ever had with Dr. Shapiro back in 2013 when I had a knee replacement by Dr. Shapiro and I am having it replaced again, because the swell8ng did not go down in the last four and a half years. So it has been a long and painful struggle with Dr. Shapiro’s knee replacement!

I first met Dr. Shapiro in the Emergency room at Aurora hospital in Oshkosh. I had broken my left (dominant) wrist. He told me that it was really shattered and he would need to attach a device to help it heal, called an external fixator. From that first meeting to the last check-up months later, he was always professional and positive about my progress. He showed me the progress I was making through the x-rays he took and what I would be experiencing next. I would definitely recommend him.

At my first office visit Dr. Shapiro was professional and friendly. He told me exactly what to expect with this surgery and asked me if I had any questions. My appointment was on time. The day of surgery Dr. Shapiro made sure I understood what was going to happen and I as pain free as needed. As days followed he and his staff were available to answer any questions I had. Dr. Shapiro is an excellent surgeon and I would highly recommend him.

I was very happy with my visit with Dr. Shapiro. He took the time to listen to my concerns and asked if I understood and if I had any questions with his diagnosis. Very friendly and and talked to me like a person not a patient.

So knowledgable yet explained procedures and results very clearly. I felt extremely confident in his expertise from the start. Two weeks after THR, I continue to be impressed.
