Not responsible diagnosis and wrong judgements
Telehealth
Visited this doctor via telehealth appointment. Refused to even use the video. Made a call and put wrong diagnosis conclusions on visiting notes. Valueless appointment.

Not surprise
Telehealth
I read most of the negative reviews of this guy and decided to at least give him a try. I set up an appointment only for him to change the date of my appointment abruptly. I am not surprised at all because other reviews said it all. It takes a great sense of passion, empathy, mercy, and kindheartedness to be a great healthcare provider.

I told the doctor that I was dealing with severe suicidal ideation and am diagnosed with OCD and MDD and he told me I need to think more positively and be admitted into inpatient care. All I wanted was an evaluation. I did not feel heard or respected by Dr. Obasi and felt that he was just trying to check off boxes.

Totally unhelpful and uncaring
Telehealth
I've taken the same medication for thirteen years and have never once had to do blood testing. He said I needed a blood test *every three months* and that he couldn't prescribe anything to me without that. He did not order lab tests or even tell me what tests I needed. I later talked to an RN who told me that that was incorrect in every way, so this doctor will lie to you to get out of doing his job. I've never had a worse experience.

These online visits that typically last only 5 minutes are useless. He is the most unsympathetic psychiatrist I have ever dealt with. He is so out of touch with the real world.

Was treated successfully for 12+ years under my former doctor who retired. No way this jackwagon pulls me off nearly all my meds while I slowly lose control of my life. Says I don’t need meds. Really frustrated. Been jerked around by him for too long and I can do basic functions in life without having a panic attack. Guy sucks!

I saw and was treated by Dr.Obasi for two years 3 times a month. He has ALWAYS taken wonderful care of me. He has always paid attention, answered my questions, and never had a problem giving me as much time as I needed during any of my appointments. He carefully prescribed and monitored my medication. Hes a Dr. who actually wants to help you learn how to help yourself and make changes and healthier choices as a pill pushing Dr. isn't going to solve your problems...

I met with this provider and even though he was well aware of my dilapidating anxiety and panic attacks, he just dismissed my mental illness and told me medication would not help and stated that "it was all in my head." Money well spent. Not! I have had this condition since the birth of my daughter, 28 years ago. It hasn't gotten any better, only worse. It has ruined my career and it will soon be the demise of my marriage if I don't get help fast.

Says he is objective and checks all the facts before coming up with a diagnosis. He made a diagnosis on me with out looking at my chart from an inpatient treatment center I was at for 30 days. During that 30 days I saw a doctor 2-3 times a week. In 1 45min appoint with Obassi he told me the diagnosis I got from the treatment program was wrong.

After my previous dr left I was assigned this guy over tele-conference. Worst experience of my life with a dr. He didn't listen and I had to state information multiple times. He took my off my anxiety medication because apparently I don't need it. Wanted to lower my medications for my bipolar but thank god my neurologists handles those. Wish I could find someone else that would take my insurance.

I went in after ADHD testing and at the advice of my therapist in order to try medication to help my symptoms. After a mere 20 minutes, he concluded that I didn't have ADHD. Stated that I was depressed and had too many responsibilities around the house. Seriously? I have 3 children. I maintain the household. If I am depressed, it is due to the fact that I cannot remain focused, I am forgetful, I have trouble thinking clearly. I left feeling very frustrated and unheard.

I was being treated by Dr. Obasi for bipolar and anxiety at St Michael's Ministry. The 3 years I was treated by Dr.Obasi my mental health decreased severely. Even if I was sobbing in his office, Dr. Obasi told me to read the powe of positive thinking. I was still depresed. He ignored my social worker, co worker and husband who assistest me to numerous appointments to talk to Dr. Obasi about their concern that I was so sad and anxiety. In the end of my treatment I was devastated.

Terrible doctor using the word very loosely. Not knowledgeable, poorly educated, awful bedside manner. Would have been better off being treated by a Nigerian witch doctor or shaman, probably would have had better results.
