Dr. Ijendu Korie, MD

In speaking from my own experience, subjecting myself to TMS was the worst mistake I have ever made. I have suffered from near-constant headaches ranging from dull pain to migraine levels. I have also suffered from memory loss, slowed speech, and brain fog. Does TMS help some people? I have yet to speak with anyone who has experienced this 'treatment' that would state that it had, or at the very least that any benefit outweighed the harm it has caused. I was feeling desperate and needed a miracle. I should have taken the time to do the research. TMS is presented as at worst, benign. At best, TMS in my opinion /experience would be a 'therapeutic technique' that was prematurely authorized by the FDA and that in reality has infact further victimized a segment of the population that has already experienced emotional distress. As part of the Hippocratic Oath, Physicians take an oath to 'Do no harm' as the foundation of their profession. From my experience, TMS certainly does.

Dr. Korie was extremely dismissive of my concerns. She would prescribe medications without waiting to see if a medication she prescribed 2 weeks prior worked. I was overly medicated too quickly. I was extremely unhappy with her care. She actually made me feel more anxious than relieved. When I moved to a new psychiatrist, my new psychiatrist was surprised at the amount of medications I was put on in such a short period of time. To top it off, she gave a lot of unsolicited advice about how to parent which I feel is not in her scope of practice.

Dr Korie really listens to me . Dr Korie and her staff are very professional and caring . I highly recommend her to everyone.

If it wasn’t for Dr. Korie, idk if I’d even be alive anymore. She helped me with some serious ptsd issues and I am eternally grateful! I have seen her first hand with other patients. She is kind, caring a new compassionate. She goes above and beyond. It’s been a long time since I have seen someone like Her. We need more like her in the healthcare field!

This doctor treated me like dirt! Instead of properly helping her advice was to have me admitted to a hospital. The problem I was having was totally medication related. She refused to adjust the medication, and actually threatened to call the police. Leaving me helpless and very ill. When I went to the ER they were not very happy with the reason I was there. They claimed that their job is not to regulate medication. I had to be treated twice during the week by the ER for major anxiety.
