Waste of time
I came with the aim to discuss my condition. That didn't happen. Just excuses made why he could or would not help me at this time. Fellow assissting was dismissive and treated me like an idiot. Will not be returning. Fellows would rather read about conditions in research papers but handling a live patient brings out their superiority complex. I thought medical care had changed. I guess not.

Never
Terrible, he may be good at research but was not helpful to me- drs. at Tampa General have helped me tremendously and seem willing to fight my serious condition.

Unacceptable medical care
A family member of mine has been seeing Dr. Faruqi. Dr. Faruqi took lung samples to examine for possible infection/causes of interstitial lung disease, which they still haven't determined a cause for. This was an important part of the work-up. Several months pass without any results and we come to find out he never sent them! He forgot. When reviewing this, he wasn't apologetic or professional about this. It's just not acceptable.

Only saw him once, and that was the worst doctor's visit I have ever had. Told me that prednisone was the only treatment for my lung condition, refused to even talk about symptom management. Was in my room for less than 5 minutes, gave no useful information or medical attention. A complete waste of time AND money. I wish I could give him zero stars.

He was very informative on Interistial lung disease for me. My first visit he and Dr. Peterson spent an hour with me. He also did lots of testing to figure out what caused this. I am on medications to help from him.
