Abrupt, minimal explanation, cockey. Doesn’t deserve my business.

Dr. Ian Weiner and his support staff were very open and responsive to my questions/concerns about ankle surgery. In addition to clearly explaining the surgical plan, he gave me realistic expectations for the post op recovery timeline.

Dr. Weiner was personable, professional, thorough and beyond competent. I was well pleased with the services rendered. The only area of opportunity I observed was the checkin process. When I entered, people were sitting and only one person was at the front desk windows. As soon as I stepped forward, one of the ladies working behind the desk said she couldn’t help me because there were 4 others in front of me which was fine however how would I have known that? The mere fact that they were sitting made it appear that that had been checked in as that is how it usually goes. You check in then sit down. I do not like being reduced to a number but they may want to consider adopting a better system so as to lessen confusion.

Dr Weiner is very condescending. I’m sure he knows his specialty well, but personally, I think his arrogance could get in the way of my medical well-being. I’d also like to note, I have no doubt in my mind that he would not have talked down to a male patient as he did to me.

Laughable... waste of time. Dr Weiner took 2 personal call during 15 minute visit. He was arrogant, rude, uncaring. He asked questions but did not allow to answer fully. I was so flustered by his bedside manner that I stopped talking.. and he didn’t notice

I tore my achilles in June 2015 after doing box jumps through a crossfit class. I'm an RN, so was very particular upon who would be operating on me and helping me through this long recovery. Dr. Weiner was AMAZING - not only a great surgeon but became my friend through this journey. He has your best interest at heart and really cares about his patients. I called him nonstop (I was an awful patient) and he was there for me no matter what. I definitely recommend this doc! He's the best!
