Dr. Ian Kowalski, DO

This is not someone I would ever recommend to care for a cancer patient. Disgusting in his laissez-faire approach. He claims his father had cancer and that gives him an insight. If that's true he's blind. Horrendous no compassion period. Run.

Dr kowalski saved my life, as a PT with sickle cell who’s always in pain I can count on DR Kowalski to be there to help me when the hospitalists are not treating my crisis. The most understanding and down to earth Dr I ever had. The only Dr. who never judge me.

This DO was beyond unprofessional. His was totally more than rude. His behavior was along the lines as rough, uncouth and certainly unskillful. His behaviors were more or less along the line of a hatchet man for the hospital. In care for my husband he violated the law by solely declaring me incompetent to be in charge of decisions based on Living Will. He had no legal right to do so. Suspension of the designated person in a LW must only be through a legal hearing. His only interest was in the hospital DRG profit. When caring for my husband, he failed throughout the entire stay to keep me informed. He would call and ask for a over ride on the living will, would demand immediate answer immediately. This was not an emergency situation. Based on my experiences with DR Kowalski DO I would not recommend this physician.

Dr. Kowalski is very, actually the most down to earth Dr. I have ever seen. He does not judge you at all and really is something special. If you need pain management in Broward County you need to come to see this doctor but unfortunately right now I think he is fully booked. I met him when I was in the hospital and he might be a little direct at first but he is trying to make sure he can do his job and don't think that he's being intimidating he's not that type of person at all and is one of the nicest people I have ever met. His secretary is very professional and one time my meds did not go through electronically and he resent them with no problem so he gets things done if you need a special medication also. Great guy and you will not believe how easy going he is until you really see him. I mean he is a diamond in the dirt and just a real good human being, courteous, and professional.
