Dr. Ian Foran, MD

I have been dealing with a right Achilles issue for a few years and have seen five doctors (3 last summer) mostly surgeons for it with no real answers or options. I’ve had X-ray after X-ray, a couple of MRIs, and months in physical therapy and still have weeks at a time where I am hobbled. I had all but given up on finding a doctor who cared in San Diego.The customer service I received when I made the appointment was excellent. I liked Dr. Foran’s presence and aura as soon as he walked into the room. He had this approachable and calming demeanour. He made eye contact as asked me about my ankle and the issues and ACTUALLY LISTENED while I explained the duration of the injury and its constant pain and all. He said that he agreed that surgery was going to be my best option. I am so glad I persevered and found a doctor that gives a damn about his patients. Thank you, Dr. Foran and staff for giving a damn and treating your patients like human beings!

Dr. Ian Foran is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. My case was complicated and I really felt like I won the lottery with the exemplary level of patient care he and the entire UCSD staff provided. From my first consult he was very personable and explained my situation and treatment options making it easy to establish rapport and connect with him. My case was met with curiosity and an investigative mind on a gold standard level that really put me at ease. Overall it was a wonderful and warm experience from start to finish.
