Dr. Humberto Perez, MD

You will make an appointment, but don't expect to be seen at that time or anywhere near it. 45 minutes if you're lucky - hours if you're not. They'll also bill you incorrectly, then insult you when you call them to fix it, and then say they'll fix it but not actually fix it. Stay far, far away.

I SHOWED UP AND THE OFFICE WAS DIRTY, CROWDED, AND HOT. THE WOMAN WHO HELPED ME DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH. SHE BROUGHT ME TO A WOMAN IN A LABCOAT WHO TOLD ME THEY DID NOT TAKE CREDIT CARD FOR COPAYS, AND THAT THERE WERE 5 PATIENTS BEFORE ME, EVEN 5 MINUTES AFTER MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TIME. I ASKED TO PAY WITH CREDIT CARD AND SHE RUDELY SAID "WE DONT DO CHARITY" AND TOLD ME TO FIND CASH. I TOLD HER I CAME A FAR WAY FOR THE APPT. AND SHE DIDN'T CARE. SHE SAID I'D HAVE TO WAIT INDEFINITELY.

Very unprofessional and extremely dirty waiting area, exam room was just as filthy, the waiting room was small about 12 seats everyone coughing not a tissue in sight I arrived to Dr. Perez office at 7 am in order to "get a spot" there were 8 other people sitting on the steps of the office while it was drizzling, The doctor was sleeping in his residence above his medical office until 10 am, while everyone had to sign in and sit and wait for hours people coughing, a bad smell in the waiting area, I eventually was seen at 12:55 pm I have never waited 5 hours and 55 minutes to see a doctor, this man should be investigated by the Medical association ...he should have his license revoked oh by the way he said I was fine just do gargles for my sore throat and place Vicks on my neck to ease the pain, 4 days later I ended up in the Hoboken Medical center to be diagnosed with pneumonia and a severe strep throat .... This doctor is BAD

Dr. Perez is old school doctor with a heart and a wealth of knowledge. Dr. Perez has many years of experience behind his craft and truly upholds the Hippocratic Oath. He actually takes the time to listen to you without rushing you, he treats you like a person not like another number. Yes, I will say that the wait time in his office can be a bit off putting, but he has such a long wait because that's how many patients come to him on a daily basis, he is a well respected and trusted doctor. He rarely turns anyone away. You don't need an appointment to see if you are in immediate need. His bedside manner and knowledge trumps the wait time.

Had a bad experience with this doctor, wrote a negative Yelp review, and when I went back I was verbally abused. The doctor’s wife held a print-out of my review in my face and yelled “VERY BAD MOUTH” among many other insulting and threatening things. The doctor himself called me out on giving him a negative review before giving me my refund. I find it unacceptable that a doctor would harass someone in person for what he/she wrote on the internet. I would not want anyone to go here.

Waited for 5 hours to have Dr. Humberto Perez refuse to write the referral I needed to see an orthopedic doctor for the follow up appointment for my broken foot as well as the paperwork needed to submit a disability claim for the time I was out of work. Humberto Perez is very unrofessional and rude. I doubt his morality. Office is disgustingly dirty and disorganized. Staff unhelpful.

Dr. Perez is an amazing man and doctor. I've never met anyone like him ever (and I have doctors in my family)- he's like a real life It's a Wonderful Life character, but real. His waiting room is backed up, yes, but you'll know why once you get into his exam room- he talks to you, he's philosophical, he's soothing and reassuring, and he gets to the heart of what's wrong with you (comprehensively- he'll address what you thought was the issue, as well as what he sees going on that you don't.)
