My Review
I have been a patient with Dr Pavon for about 3 years. The treatment I have received has been declining. Although the staff there is very courteous, Dr. Pavon seems sometimes to be overwhelmed and confused does not take his time when evaluating his patients nor does he answer questions with details or thoroughness. I have high blood pressure which I self monitor and have blood pressure readings taken with other doctors. My blood pressure registers extremely high during every doctor's visit with Dr. Pavon. Dr. Pavon is constantly changing medication causing adverse side effects and he has not been able to get to the root of the problem even though I have changed diet and incorporated plenty of water daily. I would not recommend this doctor.

Very Best MD and PA
Hands down; best MD. Constant turnover of PAs makes you question continuity as a patient. Been here 15 years; at least 5 or 6 PAs.

Excellent Doctor
Dr. H. Pavon is an outstanding family doctor. He is thorough in his examinations, he evaluates the whole person and the specific ailments in a scientific way. He is very knowledgeable, charismatic. His clientele is the who is who of the Hampton Roads area.

IF I COULD HAVE GIVEN ZERO STARS, I WOULD HAVE. I have been a patient here for several years and have always respected Dr. Pavon. Over the past year or so I have really noticed a change in the overall care and treatment provided. Today I was extremely disappointed, emotionally hurt and physically sick over the lack of care received at this office. Two months ago I was put on high blood pressure medicine (losartan potassium 100mg). After 10 days I suffered a panic attack on a plane. About a week later I had a much worse panic attack in the middle of the night, I thought I was having a heart attack. I went to the office the same day as the second attack and met the new PA (or NP). I explained that I was feeling out of sorts, light headed and dizzy since having the panic attack several hours ago. I was put back on Trintellix for anxiety which I had not taken for months. 2-3 weeks later I went back to the Dr as I was still feeling dizzy and out of sorts which was really affecting me men

Very knowledgeable and seems to have experience with just about every medical condition, and he keeps current on recent research and developments. He has a caring approach. When I first started seeing him, I was not taking the proper medication. He changed my medication and referred me to a specialist for a second opinion. The specialist said that Dr. Pavon was correct in changing the medication, and his prescription was exactly what he would have recommended.

My sense of the man is that he is very concerned with you as a patient. He takes as much time as you need and explains. He seems to keep up on his studies. He is free of the usual physician arrogance. I have recommended him to others.

Dr. Pavon was highly recommended by a long time patient. The visit was very professional. My husband and I received adequate papers through the mail. However, My husband and I first visit there with serious pre-existing medical problems seem not important. We never saw a doctor. Was not ordered any blood test. Was not really examined. My husband had cancer and have kidney problems. I have Hep C and at the end of treatments. We were given an appointment in 4 months in May. Could be dead by then!
