Very impressed with Dr. Routman, who diagnosed my husband’s arm pain very quickly. He explained all of our options for dealing with the pain (there were 4 of them) and gave his recommendations regarding each option. It was pretty easy to make the decision to go ahead with arthroscopic surgery. Front desk staff were very nice and greeted us promptly when we arrived. This was our first visit and there were lots of forms to fill out. Wish we could have filled them out online in advance of the appointment, because the time it took to fill them out meant that we didn’t get into exam room until an hour after our appointment time. Liked the nurse and PA we saw prior to Sr. Routman coming in. However, very long wait till Dr. Routman did arrive. In fact, I finally had to stick my head out of the exam room to inquire as to how much longer it would be.In essence, liked and trusted the doctor, but the efficiency of the practice was not the greatest, so our visit did take an exceptionall

Spacious office and well staffed, caring attitude

Dr Routman has treated both of my shoulders to help the osteoarthritis arthritis pain that I was experiencing. My left shoulder healed with about 8 weeks if PT, and my right shoulder required arthroscopic surgery, followed by 8 weeks of PT. I am very happy with the results, and would highly recommend Dr Routman should you need help with your shoulders.

Dr. Routman did my right shoulder replacement a few years ago. It feels amazing and I’ve gained so much strength afterwards. The VA arranged for me to see him. I got my life back. I could barely raise my arm before - even shampooing my hair was painful - and now I feel I have 100% shoulder range of motion. So very little pain after the surgery. I believe I only took 1 or 2 pain pills. Dr. Routman sat down with me for as long as I needed before the surgery. He even drew a diagram to help explain. I still have it. Now, I need the other shoulder done and I would not go to anyone else. Again this past week he sat down with me and explained everything perfectly. His PA is awesome as well. I love the fact that he specializes in shoulders. So many times peopleGo to sports medicine surgeons who do shoulders, elbows, knees, etc etc. He is indeed the shoulder guru. I originally found out about him through VA physical therapists who raved about him.

Dr. Routman knows what he is talking about. If you have a complicated shoulder problem, he is The Doctor. He and his team have the skill set and took on my shoulder reconstruction where as other doctors would not. A couple months into my recovery and so far so good. His staff is nice and knowledgeable.

5 years ago I had right shoulder replacement. I have almost 100% movement with no pain. Now I’ve started to see Dr. Routman again for my other shoulder. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I saw Dr. Routman for my rotator cuff tear and was very impressed with him. He actually sat down and explained everything to me. He didn’t rush in and rush out. Now he’ll be performing surgery in September.
