My doctor of 10yrs ago was now on family emergency for past few mths. I'm now referred to Dr. Minami. Called for appt. Chantell refused my request. She said "doctor will not see anyone who has seen a doctor in the past. WHAT? 10yrs ago? She had no time for an explanation. I felt offended. Days later I called for clarification. She had false excuses blaming previous staff office saying I was "still their patient"...they never said that. No faith/confidence in staff, bad reflection on Dr. Minami.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. Had an appt for an endoscopy because had been experiencing acute stomach issues. Arrived and was told that appt had been cancelled. Did NOT receive a call cancelling appt. Receptionist said Minami looked at file and determined appt wasn’t needed. ?!?! Was referred to him by two different doctors! He would not take 5 mins to explain why he cancelled appt. Couldn't have been treated with less respect. Awful experience.

I am still stunned. I had an appointment with Dr, Minami. Referred by my ob-gyn, and with an infectious disease and neurologist saying that I should see a gastro. Dr. Minami had excellent referrals from my oncologist, so I was really hopeful he could help. I got there a bit early and the receptionist said my appointment had been canceled. No, the doctor won't see me. Why? "Because of the diagnosis" What diagnosis? she could not elaborate. Can I have a courtesy 5 minutes to talk? No. So I left.
