Dr. Howard McGowan, MD

Dr. McGowan was very attentive to my injury and gave me options that I could choose for my care. He was very patient and kind.

I visit Dr. McGowan on a quarterly basis in order to receive my cortisone injections for both of my knees, and I have always had a very pleasant during these procedures. Dr. McGowan is truly a gentleman, scholar, and a good judge of character.

Dr. McGowan saw me for a knee injury. He went over the tests, taking time to show me the images from the MRI and x-ray, and made sure that I understood the injury. We discussed the prognosis, treatments and future care, and he answered each of my questions with respect and patience. I felt that he gave me the appropriate amount of time during the appointment, and he sent me with a plan for recovery and PT. I particularly appreciated that Dr. McGowan treated my questions as valid and that his attention was on me and my concerns.

I visited Dr McGowan for a problem I have been having with my shoulder and upper arm, in which I had an mri on. He explained what the mri results were thoroughly in simple terms that I could understand and layed out in detail what options I had to improve my shoulder. He spent more than enough time with me, answering all questions and walking through what he felt was best next steps.

Dr. McGowan is so knowledgeable and he helped me understand my knee injury and throughly explained my treatment options. I highly recommend Dr. McGowan for orthopedic care.
