He is very knowledgeable and has a wonderful staff at the surgery center.

He performed an endoscopy and finally diagnosed a problem I'd been dealing with for years, but did not speak to me before or after the procedure. I was given a handout with instructions, including medication to take, but no prescription for that medication. I never had an opportunity to discuss the procedure or his diagnosis and treatment plan. I'm grateful he found the problem, but now I'm back to dealing with my primary who doesn't really understand the issue.

My partner had a colonoscopy done by Dr. Congress at El Mirador Surgery Center. They kept telling us we'd be able to meet the doctor and anesthesiologist before the procedure. This still not occurred when they took him back to pre-op, telling me there wasn't enough room for me to go back there with him. So, I was not able to meet the doctor and learn that he had NO ANESTHESIOLOGIST! On the lovely thank you card they gave us it says "Dr. Congress" under anesthesiologist. Appalling!

Had a bad experience with Dr. Congress’s staff member. Her name was Lillyana.. She was the most rudest and unsympathetic and non caring person. The way she carries herself and treats a person is so unprofessional. In the few office visits that I sat there to fill out paperwork I could hear her joking with other staff saying bad things about patients . Not something you want to hear when seeing a doctor. Dr. Congress is excellent ! Doctor please replace Lillyana with a more caring representative

I called Dr. Congress' office to schedule a colonoscopy and provided my Medicare and my part B insurance numbers to the secretary. I was told my part B insurance with Pathway Insurance which they do not accept. I told her that my part B is with Blue Shield of CA. She tells me that I am wrong. An agent from Blue Shield of CA called her and confirmed that my part B insurance is with them. I called back and she insisted that my part B is with Pathway. Conclusion: no medicare patients wanted!

This message is not about Dr. Congress as it is about the front office staff. Yet a reflection of the Doctor. Specifically Lilliana. It is a shared office and at my first visit she was very unprofessional. So disturbing was the fact that a patient called left a message about an appt, Lilliana thought it was funny and played it on speaker to several staff, twice. She closed the window but myself and another person heard the message. Beware of your privacy!!????
