I was referred to Dr Belmont by my internist for lupus and antiphospholipid antibody syndrome. He was very familiar with these conditions but better still he provided me with a treatment plan that left me optimistic for the first time

Demeaning, combative and went out of his way to humiliate me. I traveled 150 miles for his opinion about my longstanding, life-altering symptoms. I'm a lawyer, my husband (who was with me) is a dr and I don't take any pain or psychiatric meds, yet he treated me like an attention-seeking hypochondriac. Dismissed all symptoms or findings as "lab error" or due to "aging" (I'm 44) and asked if I'd be "upset" if he told me I don't have an autoimmune condition. Suggested I "want a disease."

What could be improved
