Dr. Hongfeng Yu, MD

She is my PCP and I like her. She told me which tests I could wait or get now, suggested new ones based on age or history, takes time for exam. Portal doesn't always respond to test results but will if I ask. I also was able to get a prescription through portal without seeing her based on a nurse's decision which saved me time.

Terrible. During my annual physical, I was expressing concerns I had over some issues I was having and she spent the whole time talking about herself! And completely disregarded my symptoms. Non-responsive to portal messages.

I was referred to Dr. Yu, as she was the first available doctor that could see me after I discovered a lump in my breast and Trinity Health Urgent Care shared concern. They wanted me seen as quickly as possible. I’m 40, and I’ve never had a more thorough breast exam than with her. She shared my anxiety and referred me right away for mammogram. She also discovered a 2nd lump in my armpit, which later turned out to be positive for cancer. She insisted I get both areas biopsied, when the radiologists disagreed. I trust her.

Dr. Yu was professional and knowledgeable and seemed to care, but I found it hard to understand her accent and medical terminology. She may perhaps be overly cautious in her care. She first thought that what she felt in my abdomen was a lump but later determined to be a muscle. It was a little anxiety-provoking. Follow-up to labs was hit or miss. Dr. Yu was nice and this is only my experience after one visit.
