I have been a patient of Dr. Yang's for over a year, and she has greatly improved my ability to function and enjoy time with my family as my cancer diagnosis progresses. I really cannot recommend her as highly as she deserves. She completely changed the picture for me and works constantly with me to make sure I am comfortable, not over medicated, not in pain, and she listens. This doctor spends real face time listening to her patients and getting to know them. She also brings a multidisciplinary team of specialized nursing care and a talented clinical social worker in to work with her patients and their families. Her care and practice is at the front, cutting edge of palliative care treatment and should be used as an example for other palliative programs around the country. I am here recommending her because I think some patients are afraid of palliative care, but I want to reassure them that this sort of care only improves your chances of beating your illness!
