It took a long time to want to write this…
This was quite possibly one of the worst visits I’ve ever had…and multiply it by two. I saw Dr. Thacker first in-person and Dr.Khan for a follow up visit. This is obviously just about my first visit and I’ll write a review about the one with Dr. Khan separately. They are both just as dismissive though and possible future patients need to know that. I explained all my symptoms and clinical diagnosis was perimenopause. During that conversation, she was speed talking like she was on something. She also reached out, without any warning or asking me, and pulled my hair. She said “you have thick hair so obviously no hair loss”. That is weird for a professional in my opinion. No doctor has ever touched me without saying something or asking me first. I was given estrogen patches and sent on my way. I asked about testosterone and progesterone but she insisted that because I had a hysterectomy I didn’t need progesterone. I guess bone, thyroid, and sleep health don’t matter.

Worst Medical Experience Ever
I waited almost 10 months to see Dr. Thacker because I was told she was the best. Had I known I was going to be met with patronization, a dismissive attitude and nearly non-existent social skills, I would have saved myself time and trouble, and found a doctor who actually listens and cares. After being made to wait an hour and fifteen minutes past my appointment time, with no apology, Dr. Thacker barely sat down before she unleashed a barrage of condescending monologue on me, asking me 'why haven't you had a hysterectomy' and 'you're very unhealthy' (all my bloodwork is stellar by the way), and 'why do you have all these doctors'? Aside from my primary, (and her NP), I've seen one other doctor besides her, and that was only because I had to have a procedure done that required a subspecialty. She clearly enjoys hearing herself talk, because there wasn't even a point I could get a word in, let alone ask any questions. She was more concerned that I downloaded the QR code for her podcast.

Waste of time, look elsewhere!
I felt it was rushed, and she wasn't really listening to me as she was typing while we were talking. She talked fast when she reviewed everything, she wanted me to take. I have no idea if it's medicine or hormones I am supposed to take and for how long. I feel like the symptoms I am having match testosterone being low, but she brushed it off and suggested I'd consider a sleep study instead. I came to her for perimenopausal recommendations, nothing else. I won't be back. I thought this was a complete waste of time.

My experience was very similar to several reported here: she didn't listen well; typed into her computer the whole time; insisted on my downloading her app and grabbed my phone to do it herself; and had scripts written for before seeing me. I was not physically examined. It was very strange. BUT, her credentials are good enough that I will stick with her a while as I deal with a problem not addressed by other drs.

Dr Thacker was very rude and impatient. Made me subscribe to her app on my phone. Will not go back to her.

I have been a patient for several years, I love Dr. Thacker! It did take me a little time to get used to the shared visit platform, but it made me realize that a lot of women share the same issues. Dr. Thacker is strong, direct and gives fantastic advice. She wants to help women live their best lives!

I was her patient for a long time. She was great at first, but over the years she became too busy, always in a rush, and dictated rather than listened. She was insistent that I subscribe to her app and when I hesitated, she grabbed my phone, scrolled through it, and installed the app herself. Another patidnt I was acquainted with said that the good doctor did the same thing to her. I also did not like the group appointment model that this doctor uses. It allows the doctor to take more patients but not to give better care.

I wish I had read these reviews before wasting my time making an appointment with Dr. Thacker. She lacks warmth, compassion, and the ability to listen. She talked so fast while giving me a handful of prescriptions for things that I wasn’t even there to see her about. She was mean to her medical student and embarrassed her in front of me and my family. I told her I was there to discuss menopause, which is supposed to be her specialty, but she dismissed that very quickly and told me to change my d

Dr. Thacker saved my life! I was so sick I could not even sit up in a chair. I saw 12 doctors over a period of 5 months and no one could figure out what was wrong with me. Dr. Thacker knew right away and now I am back to perfect health!
