Dr. Holly Mason, MD

Recently diagnosed with breast cancer, my anxiety and fear were high - provider gave me hope.

Dr. Mason is wonderful. She took the time to explain everything in detail and asked if I had any questions. Followed up with me on results from my surgery prior to our follow up appointment which put me at ease. Provided me with a copy of the final lab report at my last appointment and answered all my questions. She is a kind, thoughtful and highly competent doctor.

This was the first time is saw Dr Mason. I was impressed by the amount of time she spent with me. We discussed a surgery I am considering. She did explain the procedure and recovery. I dryness think to ask about risks and I wish she would have offered that info. She did say I could call with follow up questions so I will do that

Dr. mason is a true professional. She took the time to explain everything in detail and asked if we had any questions. She was thorough and very easy to talk to and relate to. Never felt rushed. Her staff is also excellent.

Dr Mason and her assistant are very caring toward your feelings. They make you feel very comfortable when you talk to them.

team do not respect her standard. My experience with Dr. Mason was excellent. However, a member of her team, the ultrasound technician at Baystate Noble, was frustrated that she couldn't find the cancer on the screen. (She was not looking in the right area.) She quit the scan! She did not complete the ultrasound and did not consult with any other specialist! I was frankly still in shock that a cancer had been found, wasn't processing, and didn't complain. I should have because the marker was placed incorrectly, and so was the seed, so the results were no clear margins. I had to have a re-cision to get all the cancer.

All advice and instruction were provided in print form, excellent because of my [...] I have memory issues. Dr. Mason was most courteous, respectful, listened and answered our questions about the surgery and recovery, and medication, treatment. I have great respect and confidence that Dr. Mason will provide the most excellent care for the surgery and treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Mason!

This was for a second opinion concerning a cancer diagnosis - *Dr. Mason was exceptional and agreed w/the treatment course already begun.

I had my second appt with Dr. Holly Mason, Baystate Breast Surgeon on 8/18/17. She is an awesome doctor! She listens, she does the tests needed to diagnose your problem, she doesn't just rush to surgery, she is compassionate, she has humility (I have found that rare among specialists), if you have possible genetic markers she orders genetic testing too, and she cares enough to closely follow her patients! A rare gem of a surgeon who should be teaching surgical residents! ??????????

Dr. Mason was bright, compassionate and easy to talk with about my concerning situation. She had social skills! She did not "rush" to surgery. She told me about all of my other options. I was very glad I went to see her. I highly recommend her.
