She gives NKCH a bad name
If she walks into your room, do yourself a favor and ask for another doctor… From the moment she came into my room she was judgemental, rude, and had horrible bedside manner. When she was finished assessing my condition, she gave me two options of what she would do for me. I was very uncomfortable with one of the options but she convinced me to do it. After she left the room I changed my mind about it. I told my nurse. She came back into my room after the nurse told her I would not take that medicine and told me that if I wouldn’t take it, she wouldn’t do anything for me. Completely contradicting what she had said to me before. I finally just said I would take the medicine bc I didn’t know what else to do. The fact that I had changed my mind, made her mad, apparently. She refused to do anything else for my other symptoms, She said she wouldn’t give me anything for my nausea or anxiety while she was giving me a medicine she knew I was uncomfortable with. She never came back into my room

I went to the ER with a BP of 210/105. Dr. Tavalali (Weiss) could not be less bothered by this hypertensive crisis that could have (and often does) lead to stroke. I am a moderately healthy 32 yo, play sports, and had no clear indications why my BP would be so high. Her bedside manner was greatly lacking compassion. She came off as airy, unconcerned, and quite frankly bothered by my presence. Mind you, I was there in the middle of a workday, when there was maybe one other patient in the ER. After dealing with this for awhile now, come to find out I have Stage 2 HTN, not even meds can get it below 140/100, and I have an uncle who recently went into sudden and complete heart failure. He had to have an emergency heart transplant within days. There was cause to be concerned with my case, and Dr. Tavalali couldn't have been less interested in me. She quite honestly gives a bad name to NKCH, and they should be ashamed to have such apathetic doctors in any position, let alone the ER.

Took my husband in tonight. She kept asking what do you want me to do. She rattled her name off when she came in. Just her smart mouth. Her manner was rude. Don't think she even read his chart. She gave him 2 different things she would do for him. She asked why we didn't go to urgent care. This was at 8:30 at night. On a holiday. Urgent cares are closed. She never listened to his chest until we were getting ready to leave. Never took time to see what he was talking about. As they say. "I would never take my dog to her." Very poor manners. Will call in the morning.
