Dr. Kisnad treated my son for Tourettes syndrome, anxiety and ADD for years and was amazing!! He is extremely intelligent, but very straight forward. He does not have time for small talk and must stick to the busy schedule that Baptist Behavioral Health requires. The reason he has to see patients so much in the beginning is it is critical to find the perfect dose of medicine(s) needed to treat people and everyone's brain chemistry is different. If the dose is too high or low the medicine won't work. He also tries to prescribe the medicine(s) that have the least harmful side effects. I learned of Dr. Kisnad from a woman that was on her deathbed due to her organs shutting down. Her dad carried her frail body to one more doctor (Dr. Kisnad). He was able to fix her brain chemistry by prescribing the perfect amounts of medicines she needed. It took many visits to get it right, but her health was fully restored. The other doctors could not help her!!!

Dr kisnad is extremely rude, degrading and argumentative. His wife runs the office with the personality of an avocado pit in a cardboard box. If you attempt to communicate with her, she freaks out and tells her husband to ask you to not speak to her. My son was seeing him and all he did was push one drug after the other on him, charge $100 for 10-minute visits (no exaggeration), charge unbelievable money for basic services, and refuse to speak to my son about anything other than drugs. Rude!!!!

Stay away from this poor excuse for a psychiatrist. They want to charge you $90 for a scrip for a prescription (no meds just scrip) and about 10 other ridiculous fees that should be normal. I refuse to sign the paper with all the additional cost and the DOCTOR told me to find another Dr then. They are very cold. They did not greet me when I came in. They had more than 20 pages of forms to film out. I will find a psychiatrist that is caring and not money hungry like HITEN KISNAD.

I have been treated by Dr. Kisnad for just over 3 months now. I am not looking for a friend, though he is friendly. I do not make small talk with his wife, but find her to be extremely professional. Dr. Kisnad seems to me to get to the bottom of things quickly. Don’t you think a Dr. has to see you and evaluate you to treat you? I do. As soon as Dr. Kisnad evaluated me to be 90% stable, he immediately and joyfully stated, “Great! We can see you just once a week now.”

Dr. Kisnad saw my son 2-2-2018, after I decided to get my son some help outside his medical insurance network. I paid out of pocket $300. He diagnosed my son with Bipiolar. Dr, Kisnad prescribed Vrayklar, and gave my son a sample packet. My son also signed the Hepa doc giving me permission to speak to his doc. I called back to his office 2-5-2018 and this doctor would not talk to me, would not give my son a prescription w/o another visit and hung up on him, his wife is rude. DO NOT USE HIM!!!!

If only I had gone w my gut and cancelled today's appointment w Dr. Kisnad. I read all the reviews but was committed to getting help so I gambled (huge error in judgement). After 230.00 co pay I left w nothing but a sheet of paper for my partner to fill out and was told I needed to schedule a second appointment at 108.00 for the very next day (I'm assuming to get any prescription he decided to write) It's akin to a pill mill. And none of this was disclosed when making the appointment. Zero help

Very intelligent and straightforward. Was great with my son and also solved a problem with my daughter. He strictly handles medicine and assessment so must have counselor too. Very caring once you get to know him.

Alright, let me tell you about my experience with this doctor. At first, he wanted to see me once a week, then every two weeks so he could bill the crap out of my insurance. I was being treated with ZOLOFT for post partum depression and anxiety. I finally asked him if it would be okay to just provide me with refills since I am working two jobs, full time student, and a mom. He was EXTREMELY rude, and then said he would need to see me MORE now. disgusting. He does not care about your well being.

Does not acknowledge side effects of medications. Tries to cover up side effects by stating the symptoms are from an underlying condition or illness of by prescribing additional medications. Seems to push name brand and newer medications. Lied to me and said that civilian physicians could not write controlled substances for more than 30 days. This forced us to come in at least every 30 days and to have to see a different provider when we were out of town.
