My father was being seen by Dr. Siktel. All I have to say is maybe just maybe this man should work in a career that doesn’t require interacting with people that would like bedside manner. I have never seen such demeaning behavior towards my parents. I would think if you were dealing with patients that want just a promising hope of wellness that you as a provider would give that. Just a small suggestion work on the nurturing portion of caregiving.

Very rude and condescending
My aged father was referred to Dr. Siktel out of concern for possible kidney damage. My father has advanced stage cancer and some other medical issues. Dr. Siktel has been very rude and abrupt with my parents every appointment. He berrated my mother and put her into tears because she didn’t have all 18 medications and dosages he’s on memorized. Shouldn’t he be able to see that in his computer? Cultural differences or not, he took an oath to serve his patients not to make them feel emotionally and mentally worse when they leave. We are looking for another doctor that has some couth.

Dr. Siktel has been a great Doctor. I have had three kidney transplants and two different one year dialysis treatment stints. I am not the easiest patient. As a Pharmacist, I respect the hard work and time he takes with me and a relative of mine that gave me my first kidney who now also sees Dr Siktel and loves him and his care. He is very knowlegeable and applies appropriate guidelines to his patients; even if it is not what we want to hear. As far as demeanor, he is soft spoken, polite and is very professional while being able to be caring also. I would highly recommend him as he has been excellent to me and my family. Thank you Dr Siktel!

My husband has been a patient for several year. Before seeing Dr. Siktel, his blood pressure was not under control. Previous doctor said he could make it better, but he'd feel worse. Long story short, Dr. Siktel has brought his BP under control and he feels better, not worse. First office visit was similar to the previous review, but after getting to know him better, I think there are cultural differences. It is possible to develop a relationship with him and he is an excellent doctor.

I feel compelled to share my mother’s unacceptable experience with Dr.Siktel. She is 87 years old PhD RN who asked many questions regarding her disease state and medication regime. He was condescending and abrupt with his responses. When asked if she could have prevented her present disease state his response was“well you’ve already lived beyond the average life. “ When asked how much water she should be drinking he rolled his eyes with his response. I do not recommend Dr. Siktel.
