Nicest Doctor I’ve ever met. Maybe I won’t be scared of going to the Doctor now!

If you need someone to listen to you, this isn’t your doctor. If you need someone to take your symptoms seriously, this isn’t your doctor. If you need someone with compassion, this isn’t your doctor. After our visit, I felt completely overlooked, I didn’t feel listened to, and most of all, I felt stupid. I spent the whole appointment being interrupted multiples of times and not being able to express the severity my symptoms. I was dismissed from the office as I “probably had IBS.” Two months later, after begging another doctor to see me, I have been diagnosed with chronic gastritis in my stomach, an ulcer in my duodenum, and fibromyalgia. Pretty alarming for just having IBS, right? I’m assuming this Dr. Zallen doesn’t care about complex cases or anyone experiencing symptoms he can’t diagnose at the drop of a hat. But, considering that ulcers are pretty dang common, I would take a bet that he just doesn’t care.

I really appreciate Dr Zallen He is kind and caring and takes time to explain the reason is behind the test or things that they're doing for an exam

I always look forward to my appts with Dr Zallen, who has been my PCP for six yrs. He is very friendly, and a person who always puts me at ease in our conversations. I trust his guidance as my physician.

Because of weight issues I’d avoided preventative care for years. I finally came in and Dr. Z treated me like a real human being. He was kind, he listened, and offered me advice. After a blood test, we id’d a thyroid issue and are working to solve it. He’s a great doctor who makes all his patients feel comfortable.

Dr. Zallen was concise in studying my problem and assessing my situation. He was very thorough.

Dr. Zallen treats you like a friend. He has excellent communication skills, and knowledge of your health , and health history. I have lots of doctors available to me near my home, yet I travel a fair distance jut to see him. I trust him.

Wouldn’t recommend “Dr.” Zallen to anyone. Poor listening and communication skills, dismissive, and unfriendly overall. See someone else.

Dr Zallen was wonderful, very patient and really listened so that he could recommend the best treatment for me. The nurse that checked me in was very nice too :)

A great family doctor. Knowledgeable and caring.

Efficient but treated me kindly and seemed to care about how I felt.

Suggested it's time to get off hormones which I went off slowly over time. When I discussed issues with insomnia and the importance of sleeping, he suggested Prosac and to go back on hormones. Not a great listener and does not seem to be concerned with patient care, other than getting his visit complete within a short amount of time. Not recommended.

Very poor listening skills. Cursory physical exams; difficulty with the relational skills of being a family physician. Will be switching doctors.

Was told I shouldn't take specific prescription for herpes virus. That is was for cold sores only. I asked to keep it because it was designed for it specifically. Then found out he didn't renew the prescription. Was also told that I shouldn't take an acne medication and to use topical ointment only. Even though I explain why I was prescribed it and how it worked so well. I won't be going back to him for any medical needs.
