Dr. Hezi Cohen, MD

Kind and compassionate. Takes the time to listen to his patients. Works with the patient to find the best treatment options for various conditions and chronic illnesses. An excellent Dr in my humble opinion, compared to many in the Daytona Beach area!

Dr. Cohen called me him self on a Friday night at 5:30 to let me know the results of lab work. He didn’t have his nurse call he called and was patient with me when I changed the pharmacy to fill my prescription twice. The fact I did not have to wait the whole weekend and worry about results meant a lot to me. Shows he cares!

My experience with Dr H Cohen has always been one of high quality. He is exceptionally good at collaborating with you as the patient. He listens with compassion, he is very knowledgeable, he appropriately responds to concerns for needed referrals and required testing. I personally have been a health care provider for 4 decades and extremely selective regarding who I involve in my own health care. He is a very very good physician.

I've tried twice, six months apart and was told he was not accepting new patients. Why list him when you cannot get in to see him?

This doctor doesn't seem to collaborate with the patient. In our experience he did not work with other physicians to coordinate care, or with the patient to establish a plan of care. He intentionally withheld information needed to make good decisions, and failed to discuss or treat the presenting symptoms. He doesn't seem to respect patient input, which is a real disadvantage in getting appropriate care. He may be a good doctor clinically, but that doesn't compensate for the the lack of effective communication or his condescending attitude. He forgets who owns the body he's supposed to be treating. His lack of interest in the person and their wellbeing is very evident. He seems rigid, judgmental and without compassion, and we're going elsewhere.

Dr. Cohen is very stern in his approach with the patients. My daughter passed away (no parent should have to bury their child) but it happened. The day of my appointment with Dr. Cohen I had a phone (face to face) wth the funeral home in N Y State. Of course I cancelled my appointment with the doctor and rescheduled for after the funeral. I needed a refill on my medication and the pharmacy informed me it was not being refilled. When I called and stated I needed my refill and they should not hold a gun to my head, I was told I could always look for another physician. AND GUESS WHAT? Goodbye Dr. Cohen and your staff. I have also called Advent Health but still no call back.

Tried some others in area with extreme disappointment felt none were really concerned only motions. Dr Cohen was the Not at all like that and found his attitude and caring to establish patient connection was genuine. His staff just as exceptional

I have been a patient of Dr. Cohen's for 3 yrs now and could not ask for better care. As head of my healthcare team he is in communication with my specialists to ensure everyone is on the same page and he is very knowledgeable. No matter the issue, he is always there to work with me on a plan of care. I am so thankful to have him as a part of my Healthcare team. You could not find a more caring and knowledgeable family doctor who takes the time to work with you to be the healthiest you can be.

Best doctor & staff in the Daytona Beach!!!

An excellent professional who treats the whole patient, not just the current issue, and who pays meticulous attention to details that count. He's been my primary physician since my moving to FL since my retirment in 2005, and I recommend him without reservation.

Doctor Cohen is an an amazing doctor but the receptionist that works for him is unprofessional, rude, not efficient and unprofessional! I Received an invoice in the mail from the doctors office stating I owed $66 for an office visit and that I only paid $42. They turned it over to collections and then the collections company kept calling about the past due balance. Once I brought the matter to the attention of the office person she stated they made an error, didn’t process the entire amount that

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Cohen for a year. We are senior citizens and have seen a number of physicians over the years. We are very pleased to have Dr. Cohen as our primary care physician. Dr. Cohen is professional, kind and caring. He provides sound medical direction and advice and really cares about us. The staff in Dr. Cohen's office is exemplary. Everyone is friendly, helpful and caring. His nurse Jamie is wonderful as are Cheryl and Tori. Thank you!
