Awful experience
Dr. Chicaiza was the doctor overseeing the resident we had. We only saw him for literally 1 minute when he came in to tell us there was nothing more they could do and that we were being discharged and then he made a weird comment, “thankfully we came during the day when it wasn’t busy”. This was after we spent 5 hours in the emergency room, my son only had one test performed and we still do not know what is wrong. He was rude, appeared to not care at all, and never even did an assessment on son, but documented that he did.

Overseeing MD
I did not see Dr. Chicaiza directly. He was overseeing an ER fellow who was highly unprofessional. If he is going to let training doctors be independent he should provide better support and guidance on professionalism and ability to communicate with parents. We were in the ED with our 1 year old for 3 hours last night and we left just as worrie but now we are lacking confidence in our medical providers as well.
