Dr. Henry Chen, MD

I saw Dr. Chen about 2 years ago for a nasal blockage. I never write bad reviews. But the experience I had with Dr. Chen stuck with me. While in his office, Dr. Chen was condescending, sarcastic and rude. He actually made me feel bad about my insurance. Outside his office, the doctor was friendly and professional. Dr. Chen clearly has an act he puts on for patients and I agree with the reviewer on Nov 4, 2023 that he has contempt for his patients.

Dr Chen is a wonderful doctor. He explains his procedure and suggested different options you should know. I developed a trust with this doctor and I am sure he will make a lot of patients very satisfied.

Great doctor. Great "bedside" manner. Friendly, careful, direct, helpful. Made me feel confident in him.

I scheduled a procedure with Dr. Chen in 2021 and spent several years on a waiting list. He cancelled my surgery three months out with no warning and no effort to reschedule me, help me find a different provider, or help me keep my date with someone else. His office had confirmed the surgery date as recently as August and March of 2023. This behavior shows contempt for patients. I would not trust my body to anyone this careless or unkind.

Dr. Henry Chen performed otoplasty surgery on my 15-year-old son. The results were amazing. My son and I were pleased with the results and he and his staff were professional and just wonderful. My son's confidence grew 10 fold. I recommend Dr. Henry Chen to any mom or dad whose child needs otoplasty surgery. He is a very kind and gentle Dr., especially with kids.

During my entire life I struggled with a runny nose, constant sneezing and difficulty breathing. Wearing a mask during the pandemic, exacerbated my respiratory problems. After being examined by my primary care doctor, it was discovered that not only did I have a deviated septum but one of my nostrils was practically closed. I was referred to an ENT and tried nasal sprays. I was eventually referred to Dr. Chen. Dr. Chen was very thorough with his examination, explanations and answering my questions. Dr. Chen performed a septoplasty, he personally called to follow to see how I was doing after the procedure and the following day. The follow-up care and appointments have been amazing. My breathing issues and minor nasal imperfections were resolved without a change in my appearance. I am very grateful for the care I received and beyond satisfied with the results. Dr. Chen has the best bedside manner and genuinely cares about his patients.

Dr. Henry Chen was an absolute blessing & the best decision I could've made! After interviewing & speaking w/ALL top BH/LA doctors for over 1 year, I felt the most confident to move forward w/Dr. Henry Chen. I severely broke my nose during an e-foil surfing accident & reset my nose myself in the water. Unfort I'm not a Doctor & ended up having 98% blocked breathing, in addition to turbinates. My number one concern was to find a Doctor who I felt 100% confident in, who knows how to handle the intricacies of this kind of a septoplasty surgery, while improving the area that had become swollen on the top of my nose w/out looking like I had altered my appearance & to only improve it, if anything. I couldn't have been more happy w/the outcome & experience. My breathing is 100% & everything turned out perfectly!! If you want a skilled, compassionate, experienced, VERY talented Doctor, Dr. Henry Chen is the absolute best choice!!

Following a horrific surgical experience with another doctor, I was blessed to have been referred to Dr. Chen. Not only is he a highly skilled surgeon and ENT specialist, he truly cares about his patients. Despite the degree of difficulty associated with addressing the various complex issues from the first surgery, he never skipped a beat to provide me with a resolution. As I look back on my medical journey with Dr. Chen, I could not be more grateful. His staff is pretty darn awesome too!

I had unfortunately struggled with breathing problems my whole life and almost became use to not fully breathing out of one nostril. I was tired of the post nasal drip, sinus infections, sinus headaches, and difficulty breathing when working out so I finally decided to schedule an appt with Dr. Chen and it was the best decision ever. I had a septorhinoplasty done and my nose feels 100% and looks amazing! So natural! It doesn't look a "celebrity's nose" pasted on my face... it looks like MY NOSE which is exactly what I wanted. So subtle and beautiful. I'm thrilled with the overall care and outcome I received. I recommend Dr. Henry Chen to everyone!!! Dr.Chen changed my life for the better. After breaking my nose in a car accident, I had struggled for more than ten years with breathing problems. I had really bad allergies, I tried every over the counter and prescription allergy medicine I could with no avail. Dr.Chen reconstructed my deviated septum. He took the time and care to make sure that I had no further breathing problems. His after care was by far one of the best I have received, he really made me feel cared for. This helped me be able to fully trust him in tending to my nose. I am very happy with the outcome of my new nose. I can now look as beautiful as I feel on the outside.

Dr.Chen did a great job on my eyelids.everybody complimented me for that. Dr.Chen is so energetic and smiles all the time and makes explanations easy to understand.He is a great Doctor

I am 100% to recommend Dr. Chen to family, friends and foe. Dr. Chen repaired my split earlobe. I new when I first met him he was my guy for the task. His bedside manner was the warmest. He made me feel that I could trust him. The day of the procedure I was again scarred. He gave a few minutes to gather myself and breathe. Once this Dr. Chen started it was if he never touched me. He was outstanding..... outstanding. When I left his office I gave him the biggest hug! He's absolutely the best. Hands down!

I definitely recommend Dr. Chen. He is very thorough in explaining every aspect of the process from preparation and procedure to recuperation. He is readily available to discuss concerns and guides you through your options to meet your needs. He is very honest and personable and made me feel very comfortable. I am extremely happy with the results of my procedure.

I had a crushed septum from an accident, and had a septoplasty with Dr. Chen. I was so nervous to get it done 5 months before my wedding but boy am I glad I got it done! I can sleep through the night now because I can breathe, and he even shaved off a tiny little bump that resulted from my accident! Dr. Chen is very analytical and professional, don’t expect fluff! I never post reviews, but I spent so much time researching reviews before I went with Dr. Chen, I had to share how amazing he is!

Dr. Chen came highly recommended by a friend and they were not wrong! Off the bat, Dr. Chen had a great manner and was tremendously patient in answering all my questions and addressing my concerns. Not only was he totally competent and knowledgeable, but he was able to clearly explain everything to me in layman's terms. He wound up performing a septoplasty and turbinate reduction on me and I am thoroughly satisfied! I should mention his support staff gets five stars as well:)

I had my deviated septum surgery with Dr. Chen and it was an overall exceptional experience. I had had a previous surgery 25 years prior and after years of being unable to breathe properly, Dr. Chen finally fixed it. From the pre-consultation through surgery and after, Dr. Chen clearly communicated how the process would go. There surgery was a success and I'm finally able to breathe through my nose like never before. I highly recommend Dr. Chen if you need to have deviated septum surgery.

I had a really great experience with Dr. Chen. I would absolutely go back to him, if need be. I would also recommend him to my friends and family. He is very attentive, explains what is going on, what can be done, and how I can continue home care myself to ensure proper healing. Making appointments have been easy and I never had to wait longer than a few minutes, if that. The office staff are nice. I had a septoplasty - I am not a fan of having surgery but he was very patient and compassionate.
