Dr. Helena Reichman, MD

Dr Reichman delivered my 2 sons. She was with me for both pregnancies start to finish. I thought pregnancy would be a pretty simple ordeal for me, had no reason to expect complications. I was wrong, and so glad to be in the capable and experienced hands of Dr Reichman and the staff of St Joseph’s Women’s hospital. Without their help and guidance I probably would have delivered extremely preterm babies, or had a still birth. My first son had umbilical cord prolapse in the hospital, and Dr Reichman delivered him in under 10 minutes to save his life. My second one, we knew what we were up against and took many measures to make my pregnancy more comfortable and less surprising. On top of it all, I felt very healthy following both deliveries. Dr Reichman is not one to sugarcoat the truth or take half measures when it comes to the health of her patients, and I love that about her. Thank you Dr Reichman

Today was my first visit with my first pregnancy. I was having a conversation with the nurse and mentioned that I had a few other appointments since I wasn’t able to get one with my main office in time. The minute I said anything about another appointment their attitudes completely changed. The doctor came in explained some things and then started asking if I was going to stay as her patient and why would I have gotten other appointments. I told her what i said to the nurse and it was like I became a waste of her time. Which is crazy that every person I talked to said look around to an OB that you like, all the books tell you to interview them have multiple appointments. She became rude and condescending to any questions I had. When she did the ultrasound she didnt say anything about the baby, just took one photo and was like there it is. I was completely shocked, you would think they would be nice so I come back but now im here writing a bad review in hopes to help another new mom.

Dr Reichman had the best reviews and that’s why I chose her, but I had a completely different experience than the one other women explained. She was very rude, arrogant and impatient. She did not make me feel comfortable with calling to ask questions. Which is why I chose to go to the emergency room without calling her when I noticed bleeding, She did no follow up scans after I was diagnosed with a subchronic hematoma at 11 weeks. And it seemed to be because she was upset about me not calling her first. She literally told me I could only ask her 1 to 2 questions a visit because she didn’t have time. When I had my anatomy scan and they found things that made them recommended termination she didnt even come downstairs to speak with me or give me a call to talk about anything. If I could do it all over again I would never have done to her to begin with, so beware if you’re looking for an OB.

I am a medical professional and treat my patient only with respect, have empathy Towards them and like to listen as it’s very important to listen for diagnostics purpose other than bedside manners. Dr Riechman has a white collar complex and she doesn’t like to be questioned at all. I only treated her with utmost respect and told her I ask questions as you are an expert in the field. I was said things like’ you should not have more babies as you are a bad patient’,given a look every time I would ask any question. There use to be seldom direct answer to my question, it usually ended up in a sarcasm. I was asked to get induced 3 hours after my water broke as it would be easier on her schedule, when asked if I could wait for few more hours to see if contractions start naturally,I was told by her that I am being difficult .there is so much more to write but not enough I only stayed with her as other doctors Would not take me Halfway through my pregnancy. Would never go back.

The worst experience I have ever had with a doctor's office. The people who answer the phone which I assume are nurses are dismissive, they sound like they hate their job and that they couldn’t care less about people. They refuse to take your concerns to the doctor and they just tell you "it is normal" annoyed by your questions and concerns. They refused to see me because I was pregnant and had to wait to be at least on week 8 even after telling them I wasn't feeling ok. I called them several times and they just kept on saying my symptoms were normal without allowing me to come in to check me. Honestly, the worst place. Your health is important, and you should go to a place that cares, and this is definitely not that place. Stay away!

Today - TERRIBLE - I don't leave reviews. HOWEVER....Let me begin with Dr. Reichman was my doctor for YEARS, and delivered my boys. I moved back to the area, and was very excited to see her again. How could I trust anyone else, I thought. I drove an hour (each way) for this appointment-my choice. Again, she was my doctor for YEARS and I would have highly recommended her. Back to today, I was the first one in after lunch, 1:00 p.m. At 1:05 taken back to weigh, BP, etc. and into a room. At 1:15ish I hear Dr. Reichman outside the door ...and then hear her leave and go to the room next to me. At 2:00 p.m., after listening to her go into FOUR different rooms (yes, after #2 I counted), and SITTING THERE FOR AN HOUR BASICALLY NAKED, I put my cloths on, collected my paperwork from the door and walked out. Her office has now called wanting their paperwork back! No apology, no wanting to know what happen, nothing. I will call them tomorrow. They will not be getting paperwork back....

I was double checking Dr Reichman's office phone number and came across her reviews. I have known this doctor for 27 years. She is without a doubt a more than outstanding doctor. She is no BS and no sugar coating. If you want that go to someone else. If you want a doctor who knows what she is doing she's your woman. Dr Reichman goes out of her to call you on a weekend to give you results, she is that doctor who gives you choices and gives it to you straight. I first met with her with an emergency and had no insurance. She took care of me, her office and I figured out a payment plan after being hospitalized. I find her to be honest, ethical, professional, and overall a great person. I have never had a problem with her staff, they do their job. I've been set up for procedures with Dr Reichman and I have never had to worry about authorizations or when I was to show up at the hospital. I have recommended her to several people and will continue to. My daughter see's her as well.

Dr. Reichman is nice doctor but she is like her way or highway. She does not like patients asking her questions. She starts talking rudely, makes mad faces, eye rolling and all that if you ask her more than 1-2 questions. She needs to know that she is getting paid for treating people and answering questions is a part of it. Staff always wants to charge you before the visit. Another thing that I noticed is the LabCorp office is right next to her office and they all have access to it. It is a big concern to me seeing my reports coming from there.

Upfront doctor with years of experience. She explains everything in plain English and is a no B.S doctor. She also saved my life when delivering my son. will only go to her for future children.

Her staff is downright rude, which is unfortunate, because Dr. Reichman seems to be a good doctor.

This doctor has the nastiest attitude EVER when she Talks at you and not to you. She tries to belittle people. Just horrible all together I wouldn’t recommend her at all. If I could leave 0 stars I would!! Lastly if you ever paid money make sure to check and see if you don’t have a balance because they’ll over collect and will not give a refund it’s just thousands of dollars sitting there from OB visits !!

The staff at this office are nasty and disrespectful. Dr. Reichman is a decent doctor who would do better business if she had a more caring and competent staff. Kimberly, who answers the phone, is rude and not helpful at all. I heard her talking badly about a patient while behind her not so sound proof glass. Disgusting. Don’t bother with this office. The doctor can be rude as well, however at least she is competent. I will not go back here ever.

Insightful. Thorough. Thoughtful. Dr. Reichman is the best ob I could have ever asked for. I think she is very no nonsense and candid, which I most appreciated.

Dr. Reichman is amazing! She's delivered 3 of my babies. She tells it like it is, is very compassionate, and will put your mind at ease. Each one of my pregnancies were very different as well as the deliveries. She handled each situation amazing! I felt comfort in knowing she was my doctor. I've since referred multiple friends to her and they've been extremely satisfied. If we choose to have another she will be my doctor. Her office staff is great! I've never had to wait for more than 10 mins.

I absolutely adore Dr. Reichman! She has worked with me since day one trying to conceive. She hasn't gave up on me and continue to work with me rather than refer me to a specialist. I feel comfortable with her and have NO problem with her. Her front staff is really nice to me. They don't make me feel like I'm just $$, they actually show that they care. Because of all this, I'm willing to commute about 40 min for Dr.Reichman. :) keep up the good work, everyone!

I've been a patient of Dr Reichman for 16 years. During this time, she has been nothing but caring, compassionate and professional. Her staff is wonderful. I never feel rushed when I see her. She takes the time to listen and goes above and beyond for patients. She has seen me through surgeries as well as the births of my two children. I can't say enough good things about her. It speaks volumes when hospital staff tells you that your doctor is one of the best. I recommend her to everyone.

I had an altercation with the front staff regarding the way they wanted to bill me prior to my appointment when I had funds in my HRA account. They were rude and unprofessional about it. I left without being seen for my appointment. They had scheduled me the day prior stating it was important I come in the next day and then they demanded payment prior to the appointment. After I left the Dr herself called me and began to lecture me and talk down to me like a child. Totally unprofessional!!!
