I went to Dr. Wu for a 2nd opinion after my optometrist said I might have an eye disease. After researching eye doctors I found Dr. Wu. One of her specialties is this uncommon condition. She gave me a thorough exam and was able to confirm that my eyes were actually ok. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly. Really, one of the best doctors I’ve seen.

Says it’s normal for 3 hours wait
The wait for Dr. Wu apparently is at least 3 hours. Literally what the reception tells me. I’ve been to the Framingham location a dozen times and their doctors are 100% on time. This Welleley location is my first visit and I’m still waiting. They better approve to cancel there’s no way I can wait out the whole 3-5 hours.

Dr Wu is the best! I have a patient for many years. Her wait times maybe a little long but it is a teaching hospital and she takes her time with her patients.

I lost vision in my right eye because a cornea graft would not adhere. I have had 7 surgeries/procedures in 5 weeks, most of them with my surgeon who referred me to Dr Wu. Dr Wu will be doing another surgery on 5/4 and I know her goal is to restore my sight. Dr Wu is warm and friendly but not all who work with her are. They are all business and I kind of felt just like a number. Joanne however, who checked me in was wonderful. The office told me on a Friday that I needed a Covid test for a Tues. surgery. Kind of short notice. I was awake and in pain the whole night after surgery. No pain meds were given. After the procedure, no one told me when I could return to work, if I had any restrictions or what to expect post surgery. They did send info to my HR department who didn’t tell me anything either. Overall, not a positive experience for me but I think Dr Wu’s goal is to give me my sight back.

I LOVE Dr. Wu. She is the most caring doctor. The comment about her being after money is completely absurd. I have been going to her for many years. Staff who check your vision at Brookline office take you quickly. Wait for Dr. Wu can be a little longer, but has never been excessive for me. I schedule morning appointments. Waits are perhaps longer in Boston because of very busy clinic. Not the doctor's fault.

I took my Dad here and we waited 7 hours. Saw every student in Boston before seeing Wu. All she wanted was for him to have cataract surgery. She gave no details and just kept pushing the operation. I have zero need to line her pocketbook. Should be ashamed of herself

I took my mother to see Dr. Wu in Boston and like others we waited about 3 hours. It would have taken less than 30 minutes if her and her staff were more efficient. We spent most of the time waiting... Not sure how she is as a surgeon as my mom's eye sight is not better after the surgery.

I am a paramedic who was referred to Dr. Wu by a coworker who had a great experience getting laser vision correction several years ago. Dr. Wu explained the procedure to me and took a LOT of time to answer all of my many questions about which type of correction was best for me and why, and my concerns about aftercare and healing time. My results (I had PRK done) were amazing! The office staff and other doctors supporting Dr. Wu's care are outstanding and helped make the whole experience great!

I just had PRK eye surgery last Thursday performed by Dr. Wu and I am so glad I did! The procedure was quick and painless. In fact, I haven't felt any pain whatsoever, just a bit of scratchiness in one eye. From my first consultation, I was greeted with smiles and kindness from the receptionist Linda as well as from all techs, assistants (Christine, Amanda), Dr. Stejna and Dr. Wu. They were able to answer all my questions and gave me specific pre and post op instructions. I highly recommend it!

I had been seeing Dr. Wu for about 8 years, but will NEVER return. You have to wait a minimum of 3-31/2 hours to see her. You see 2,3 or 4 technicians prior to seeing her. When you finally do get to see her, she is completely frazzle. At my last appointment she literally ran in for 30 seconds asked me a question and ran off to the next patient. The tech. wrote me an eyeglass prescription which I spent $750 on new glasses that made me DIZZY. This place is shameful and disgusting.

Be prepared to be seen by at least 3 techs before you see Dr. Wu and wait 3-5 hours in the waiting area. The office is too busy to get good, personalized care. Everyone is stressed and just wants to get to the next person. She doesn't even have time to read your notes that have been taken by 3 techs! Most times you wait so long that the office is closed and you can't get another tests completed or you can't schedule your next appointment. Don't go here!
