Dr Bernie is an amazing doctor. Her bedside manner is light and makes you feel comfortable talking about difficult topics. She has truly helped change our lives and the surgery went excellent! She’s one of the highest volume penile implant surgeons in the country and when she said she’d be able to help us regain intimacy again and have great sex, she wasn’t lying. If your husband has prostate cancer and treatment left him impotent go see her. You won’t be disappointed.

I'm a new patient , refereed to her Specialty Office in Urology by my HMO. She is in a fantastic office IU Hospital North. It's was easy to find. I was in the exam room within 15minutes of arrival. For the first time in 21 years a doctor demonstrated the critical nature of testosterone therapy as it relates to getting an election, keeping an erection sufficient for intercourse and able to climax. Then there is the masturbation and urinary incontinence. So how do I tell her about this? I say "I can't make myself xxx no matter how hard I try and then I pee on myself." No games and hinting around. Twenty year of frustration laid bare for the first time. What a relief. Even better was her response: "I have many patients like you. We can help with all those problems." (Tears withheld almost)She is the real deal.

Waited 2 months to see her. She had an emergency and canceled my appointment. Now they want me to wait another 3 months to see her. I've never been treated this badly in my life. Not to mention every time you call you get an answering machine that says they will call back but they don't or if you miss their single call that's it, back to more waiting. Go else where if you can otherwise you sit and suffer in pain !

Dr Bernie and the NP are great. The customer service is the worst ever. The lady at the front desk is terrible and they never answer their phone. Terrible customer service. IU Health doesn’t care about its patients. Horrible patient services, but their answering machine does apologize a million times an hour for the delay while you wait and listen to their elevator music.

We saw the nurse practitioner and the visit went fine. But the office will not ever answer the phone directly, have to leave a message and they never call back. We’ve left at least 4-5 unanswered messages over the last month.
