This Dr. needs bedside manners

Dr Fontenot was listed on thedysautonomiaproject.org as a doctor knowledgeable for Mast cell disorders (which his name was conveniently been removed as of checking May 5th). I contacted his office two months prior and specifically asked if he had this knowledge, and talked the nurse through the website so she could see his name listed. After putting me on hold to ask the Dr she returned with the great news he was knowledgeable in MAST cell disorders. Turns out the day I come to visit, he doesn’t have any knowledge of Mast . Actually I had to stop the visit as his nurse wanted to conduct an EKG on me. After I asked her why she wanted an EKG when it was clearly written on my paperwork I was here for Mast cells? Am I to understand your employees don’t even read the paperwork you have us fill out. On top of all this you make me wait 50 minutes before being seen. Florida Medical Clinic is defiantly not an organization I will ever visit again.

On March 19, 2021, I had the pleasure of visiting with Dr. Fontanet and staff. From the very first moment I approached the receptionist desk I was met with professionalism with a commitment to ensure my needs were met. I also found the staff to be caring and efficient and at the same time made me comfortable. Dr. Fontanet took the time to make sure I fully understood the results of each test and procedures.  Dr. Fontanet read word for word each test and procedure results with an explanation and a plan for best positive outcome. I would definitely recommend Dr. Fontanet and his staff. Respectfully, Ron Murray

Dr. Fontanet takes the time necessary to explain your condition using models to show the studies results. He makes you feel very confortable to talk too. He is very humane and inspires confidence to talk to him about your condition and sometimes other conditions that you may have.

Best bedside manners I’ve ever seen in a doctor. Well respected. Highly recommended.

Seems like he is a good person for when your health is going well and a good prescription will see you through...but for someone who is needed during your darkest times, he is simply not capable. He recklessly prescribed a procedure for which my mother was not physically able to come through it - after an 8 plus hour procedure and 2 months in an ICU, she isn't with us any longer. The entire time, spanning from early December through early February, he failed to check in on her, with her attending doctor, my family or the hospital itself. The one time my brother and I were able to get him on the phone, he said a situation was "above his pay grade" as a response. Is that what you want in your doctor? One who prescribes the procedure, then bails when the going gets tough? If so, Hector is your man. Personally, I find him reckless and cowardess.

Just love Dr Fontanet he’s an amazing Dr and he listens to you and gives you the Best advice!! I’m thankful for him so takes wonderful care of my husband and his staff is wonderful as well!!!

Not only do I see Dr. Fontanet , we took my 92 year old mother to see him too. She loves him and so does our whole family. My heart issue is rather rare and Dr. Fontanet is well educated and I trust him with my life. He has a wonderful bedside manner, you can tell that he actually cares. If you have other issues with your health he will steer you in the right direction. He exhibits patience and understanding with our mother. He is the real deal.

Thoroughly listened and went through my paperwork. He also teaches the whys something is going on with your heart. I feel very confident in his knowledge and care.

As a provider myself I go to him. He is the only one I would trust to guard and protect my heart. He is an amazing cardiologist!!!

He is friendly, kind, understanding and exudes confidence and trust - and he does know his stuff.
