Dr. Heather Skanes, MD

Dr Skanes’s diagnosed my endometriosis after years of horrific pain. I feel like I was gaslit and not taking seriously by my previous doctor. I just asked her to listen to me and truly listen to me. She did. I cannot speak enough about her and her staff. They are the most loving and professional group of medical providers. I feel alive again. No more pain, no more struggles. I’m free and it’s because of Dr Skanes.

How cold and detached the medical staff was. Didn’t feel welcomed at ALL. Dr. barely spoke. Didn’t say much of nothing to me as a new patient.

The staff at front desk was very friendly and professional. The doctor energy was off when she entered the room. I think she's a good doctor, but just wasn't a match for me . The other staff and technicians were also friendly and professional and welcoming.

Worst Obgyn Ever!

Very personable and hands on. She listens to all of my concerns and takes action. She takes notes and actually follows up about what's going on. Love her and her staff.

When she helped deliver my baby, I’ve never felt like I was in more capable hands. She’s so personable, I felt like I had my big sister in the room with me which was MUCH needed with the COVID visitor restrictions. I had so many reservations about being back in the hospital after my first birth was traumatic but this go round, I was extremely grateful for all she did to help bring my baby earth side. Dr. Skanes is incredible! I'm a little embarrassed to report that I had not been to the gyno in years. I chose Dr. Skanes because I felt as if I could relate to her the most with her being a woman of color. She quickly eased all of my nerves as soon as I laid eyes on her! She informs patients of all options, as well as the benefits and risks, to assist with creating a plan of care specific to their specific needs. I appreciate her professionalism, patience, reassurance, and guidance. I would definately recommend her to any expecting mother looking for a physician who truly cares.

This physician has the worse bedside manner. The wait was extremely long and instead of apologizing for the wait she was very condescending. She spoke with me as if I were a child. I am absolutely appalled by her treatment and would never recommend her to anyone. Medicine is an art of not only treating your patients medically but treating them with integrity and I can say with confidence this is an art that she is lacking. I will not be returning.
