She Just Doesn't Care
Dr. Longval did not show that she cared about me as a patient. I came in for an acute cough and instead left with the knowledge that she would not prescribe me my long-term medicine any longer. No discussion. No questions on how I felt or how my body was reacting to the medication (as I am in maintenance) or what I should do to wean myself off of this medication. No alternative resources or medical advice. She lied about why she was discontinuing the Rx in direct conflict with the prescribing information of the drug - something about her medical license being in jeopardy. It was put in my chart that I understood - even though I did not understand. I was there about my cough. When I called a couple of months later to see if they would refill my Rx, I was given the same info - without a discussion from the doctor. The nurse indicated that it would not be refilled. Period. I indicated I would use telemedicine and transfer to a doctor that actually cares about me. She doesn't care.

The entire visit she tried to gaslight me about a condition I've had for quite a few years now that runs in my family. She never even asked what my symptoms were but told me what I was experiencing wasn't the illness I was diagnosed with. She also tried to push a medication saying how great it was when I tried that medication then got a concussion due to it messing with my blood pressure. This medication also has a black box warning(!) that she didn't seem to care about. I left the office more stressed and angry that what was needed. She could have said she didn't understand what gastroparesis is and made me a referral but instead she was extremely dismissive and rude! Another visit I had she claimed I had a throat infection. I ended up at the hospital and was diagnosed with mono. Luckily I didn't listen to this doctor and advocated for myself to get that diagnosis fast enough before it got really bad. She doesn't listen to her patients and treats them like they are there just to waste her time. The front office staff can also be extremely rude! I wouldn't see her again even if she was the last doctor on the planet!

Dr. Longval by far is the worst doctor that I have every encountered. She never reviewed my family history and when I told her that certain cancers run in my family her response was, “well I am not giving you a pap since the insurance guidelines is every five years.” Apparently she does not understand that your insurance policy coverage supersedes the guidelines. I have had a partial hysterectomy and was advised by my doctor to have a yearly pap. God forbid you advocate for yourself in her office because she will turn around and call you rude. She said it to me three times. Her nurse schedule me for a breast exam for the only day that I said I could not have it on. I told her that when she came in the room. The nurse tossed me the paper and said call and cancel it yourself. After 25 mins I called to cancel. The doctor peered in and didn’t show up for another half hour. She turned to me and said she had to move on. My response to her, My time is just as valuable as yours. BEWARE
