Another cancer success story!
Dr. Alkhateeb was my hematologist from 2018 to 2022 for a watch and wait. We shifted our healthcare to MD Anderson Cancer Center to be in the sunbelt. I am trying to get a hold of him to share my latest update--I had a stem cell transplant on July 11, 2023 and on March 3, 2025, I was told that I was cured of CMML with a low risk of recurrance. I want to thank Dr. Alkhateeb for the care and guidance he gave me while my cancer was in an early stage.

Dr. Alkhateeb was my husband's doctor, and oversaw his stem cell transplant for MDS. He has received several awards, including number one in patient experience at Mayo in 2021. My husband and I found out why. From the outset, Dr Alkhteeb was very thoughtful and judicious in determining the best treatment plan for my husband's specific condition and skillfully oversaw the process so that my husband had the best chance of going through the procedure with as few complications as possible. He directs a team of handpicked providers, and every single one of them was thoughtful, curious, attentive, and of course, highly knowledgeable.We did not encounter a single person who was indifferent or dismissive. Not one. It was absolutely top shelf care, and my husband did very well. I'm so very grateful that Dr. Alkhateeb was our provider, and he and his team will be there for us in the future.

The best care possible

He was terrible. Worst doctor that I have seen since dealing with MDS. Acted like didn't care if I lived or died. Would not discuss anything about trials if something went wrong. If it was in a given procedure, but nothing else. Would not recommend to anyone.
