I was 41 and was eventually diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Dr. Boepple was a very poor doctor for me and my condition. He had poor bedside manner. He may have been knowledgeable, I don't really know, but he shared little information with me and my husband. He seemed irritated by my questions. He wanted me to stay off the internet - which I understand to a point, but not as a blanket statement. PF and IPF are very difficult to understand diseases, with so many possibilities and questions. I feel that, especially in the beginning, a caring doctor that is generous with his or her time and explanations are the most important element to gain a tiny fraction of control. Do yourself a favor and choose someone else!

reply to narcoleptic in NY
I had this same issue with him. Upon my first portal communication i received a letter stating that my narcolepsy case was too complicated for him to deal with and he recommend i find another dr. If narcolepsy is too complicated for a sleep specialist maybe he should try a different specialty. Amazing how it only became complicated when i attempted to communicate with him. I recommend Dr Neu in Amherst. Hes a pulmonary dr but is a sleep specialist as well. He has been very helpful, given me the proper medication for my narcolepsy, and has always maintained a professionalism and compassion for his patients. Not to mention, you can call the office without being dismissed.

Wait time approximately 10 minutes or less. Staff friendly. Dr Boepple is kind, relaxed and goes through a thorough explanation of testing and physical findings. He listens and allows you to ask all your questions and responds to them and any concerns. He is a wonderful doctor.
