Incompetent unhelpful & inconsiderate
My kid's eczema & allergies got so much worse the year schools mandated masks for all & I went to Dr. Patel for a mask exemption because my kid's health conditions were rapidly declining due to these mandates masks in school. I find out Mr. Patel is not a doctor because he says he can't help my son as he is bound by cdc guidelines. I told him those are just guidelines & one size never fits all & u need to look at patient's individual needs especially since we were seeing him for 2 years now he was able to see my son's condition got worse but refuses to help. So I told him why do we even come to doctors if all you're gonna do is read cdc guidelines which we can do at home. This is the same guy who told me my son will...not maybe but will develop asthma right in front of the kid putting it in his subconscious mind. I have an interest in not getting to that point so help me with a mask exemption to which this guy says he doesnt even give exemptions to patients he has w asthma already.

Dr Patel and is staff are a pleasure. He takes the time to listen to the patient and the caregivers. Then discusses a treatment plan and follow up. I would highly recommend Dr. Patel for allergy services.

Took my three year old son to Dr. Patel to determine the cause of 2 recent allergic reactions to his eyes within the past month. Had a Saturday noon appointment at the Hicksville location. Waited almost an hour to see the doctor. The Hicksville office is old, beat up and dirty. Saw the PA who asked some questions, who spoke with the doctor. Dr. came in for 30 seconds, didn't examine son. Prescribed an antihistamine and we went on our way. No search for a cause,no reason for not doing test.
