Dr. Harry Shephard, MD

Dr. Shephard has been my gastroenterologist for over 5 years now and has been diligent in treating my Crohn's disease. He has great bedside manner and it shows that he is well rounded in the newest research in the field.

Saw him based on high ratings to oversee Crohns/Colitis I've had over 15 years. When he learned I was only interested in treating with Steroids, he disagreed with my wishes. He literally INSISTED I take a Biologic or Immunosuppressant to treat this. This drugs have MUCH more severe Side Effects. And- they are not guaranteed to work! Such a shame I drove over an hour to waste my time with a Doctor that does not respect a Patient's opinion or concerns.

My family physician sent me to Dr Shepard to see if my low red blood count, low hemoglobin, and low hematocrit might indicate a GI bleed. Dr Shepard immediately refused to listen to any history of my problem, refused to look at any of the past lab reports, and refused to look at the spread sheet showing a progressive history of declining blood results. He said he wanted to “optimize his time” and he insisted I tell him “in one word” why I was there. He became irritated when I told him it took more than one word. He refused to let me tell him that my recent hospitalization was for a severe fall and BLOOD LOSS—information that would be critical to determining whether the present low blood results justified a colonoscopy—which was the question I came to have answered. When it became obvious that he wasn’t going to take an accurate medical history, I left. A physician who will not take an accurate history is not one I feel safe in having treat me.

Awesome doctor , his nurse is amazing , they both have a welcoming attitude and made me feel at ease for my first visit! The whole staff overall since i walked in was amazing ! The wait time is amazing , well what wait time? I was in and out as a new patient in less then an hour! You guys are rockstars ! Highly recommend

I have been seeing Dr.Shepard about 8 yrs now and I trust his knowledge and experience. He is a compassionate Doctor and so glad I have him for guidance with my issues. Sometimes hard to navigate your system for getting a response to an inquiry about a medical issue and have gone to the office ‘in person’ for a response.

My experience with Dr Shephard was very good he is a awesome Dr . He fixed the issue that I had Dr Shephard takes his time with his patients he listens to them seems to really care about you and what’s going on with you so he can do the best he can to get your Issues resolved quickly Thank you Dr Shephard
