Excellent care from Dr. Neuwirth.
I needed urology care that required immediate attention while on holiday. After calling several urologists, Dr. Neuwirth's office scheduled me for the next day. His explanation of my condition, the necessary procedures I needed to receive an informed diagnosis and his follow up care were first rate. Communication from Dr. Neuwirth and staff were timely, thorough and patient centered, a rarity these days. He is a top-notch practitioner and the best urologist I have encountered in my battle with urological conditions.

it was terrible. His assistant kept telling me to go to the ER which I did not need. I am 53 yrs old and have lived with my condition since birth. I had seen him before and had a been prescribed ciproflaxin before by him and was just looking to get a 7 day course prescribed as my pyelonephritis is sensitive to this drug and the infection is alleviated by it. Instead the doctor literally hung the phone up on me after his assistant repeatedly interrupted me and just kept on telling me go to ER

Dr. Neuwirth is a fine doctor, but his admin staff is terrible and incompetent. Our experience over the years scheduling appts and procedures has been very hit and miss. Generally, one must book 3-4 weeks in advance and poor scheduling and errors by the staff have resulted in last minute cancellations. Errors are commonplace when refilling prescriptions and follow up calls are handled with the utmost indifference. The staff is rude, disrespectful, and lacks any understanding of customer service.

I require a cystoscopy every year and at best it is an "uncomfortable" exam. Of the many I have had, Dr Neuwirth's skill is the best, with my most recent exam completely pain-free, He always takes the time to answer my many questions and has called me after-hours to personally give me results. As a result of the manged care comp rates, today many medical offices are overworked and at times incompetently staffed; however, the physician's medical skills and attitude towards patients is paramount.

Dr. made comments re: size and abnormality of prostate (from ultrasound) with no explanation. He ordered an MRI as he stated that a biopsy would not tell him much in my case. No explanation. His office stated that Cigna had refused the MRI (which was not true) and that I should just have a biopsy instead. No instructions given as to how to prep. for the biopsy. Office seems too busy to communicate information and the Dr. seems burnt out.

I had a 3 o'clock appointment and waited 45 minutes in the room after giving my urine sample. He did not show up. Finally, I left. 45 minutes is way to long to be locked up in a tiny room for the doctor to show up. If the doctor is running late the front desk can easily call the patient asking him/her to come a little later. For all I know I could have been there for over an hour.
