Dr. Harry Lightfoot, MD

Dr. Lightfoot was kind, compassionate and very informative about my procedure. He address my concerns and responded promptly after my surgery. I had no problems from my procedure or getting a follow-up appointment to see him afterwards. I’ve had several surgeries and as painful as my condition was before surgery, Dr. Lightfoot did and amazing job and got me back on my feet and pain-free in no time with no complications or setbacks. I’m grateful!

Dr. Lightfoot did my surgery (abscessed diverticular of sigmoid colon erupted); he removed around 6 inches of diseased colon). He was very competent, caring, friendly, dedicated, professional, and had excellent bedside manner. He put all my fears at ease and after meeting him and talking to him all of my fears subsided. I trusted him completely and still do. If I ever have to have surgery again in his field, I will call him! Such a fine Christian gentleman! I hope he doesn't mind me sharing this, but he reads his Bible every morning before he goes to work, and he prays for his patients. One morning when he was making his rounds when he got to my room, I was reading my Bible. He smiled and said, "Reading your Bible?" I told him I was having my morning devotionals. He replied, "I read my Bible every morning before I go to work." When I asked him to pray for me, he said, "I will. I pray for all my patients." Now why wouldn't I recommend such a fine Physician and gentleman!

My Mother had surgery at wellstar at cobb and the surgery was performed by Dr. Lightfoot. His office does not call patients back. After 3 months, my mother's wound is still not fully closed. The nurses from her Home Healthcare have also tried calling Dr. Lightfoot's office to no avail. He is dismisive and when advised by other Dr's he replies to the patients that he is the surgeon making it seem that his ego and arrogance are more important than the patient.

Dr. Lightfoot was the perfect balance/blend of professionalism and compassion. He listened to my concerns with care and found a solution to get me taken care of. The surgery I had was a huge success, and I feel great...better than I have in years and years. He and his staff are just great, and I would recommend him to anyone.
