Dr. Lab born was great! I love how he builds a relationship with the child and eases their anxiety, along with the parents. He explained everything well.

Great General Surgeon, not for vEDS patients
This man has the confidence of a God, but may lack the foresight to truly and fully research any rare connective tissue disorder of his patients. He laughed at me when I requested further imaging for my son’s abdomen post op, to which I had to escalate my son’s case to get CT done. Imaging did in fact show surgical wound dehiscence, infection, and bowel protrusions post op, and identified the migration of surgical mesh used in my 15 year old son’s fascia wall defect. Advice to all Docs: Do not laugh at your patient’s reasonable requests for further imaging. Take parent’s concerns and experience seriously when dealing with disorders they live with daily and you only see once in a blue moon. Rare disordered patients are more than a paragraph in your text book.

Yes, I would recommend. Thankful for him and the residents on call that took care of my son when he needed an emergency bowel resection. Being an O.R. Nurse myself, it was nice to get the feeling of "it's going to be ok" from unfamiliar faces.
