Dr Kulman performed emergency abdominal surgery on me in 2023 and saved my life. He gave me wonderful care and I highly recommend him, and I was so fortunate to have had him for my surgeon.

Damaged my vagus nerve
Dr Kuhlman damaged my vague nerve when he performed a laparoscopic gallbladder removal. This has caused a lot of digestion, problems, constipation, and reflux. I would choose another surgeon. I should’ve sued him. Had I known that I could for the inconvenience and health problems I have.

AMAZING
I was at 3 different hospitals. They all said nothing was wrong. Went to SMH. Dr. Kulman checked me out and within 5 minutes he 100% knew what I had been suffering with for over 2 months. The best of the best surgeons!

Outstanding
Dr Kulman treated me at Sarasota Memorial Hospital for diverticulitis with complications. He identified the problem correctly and ensured I received what I needed to recover. His bedside manner is fabulous and you can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. He has lots of experience and I was beyond blessed to have him in charge of my care during my week in the hospital.

Highly Qualified Surgeon
My family & I are beyond grateful that Dr. Kulman was the surgeon on call the day my elderly mother-in-law was transported to SMH Main with a colon blockage. My mother-in-law was transported by ambulance to the hospital so by the time my husband & I arrived she had already been placed in a room and been given Dr. orders. Dr. Kulman is amazing. He actually called the nurses station on the floor my mother-in-law was on between his scheduled surgeries to discuss her plan of care with my husband because they had not yet had the opportunity to meet. Dr. Kulman provided my mother-in-law sensitive and kind treatment. He explains procedures so his patients understand what to expect pre & post-op. He is kind & gentle with his patients & makes a point to maintain eye contact. I highly recommend Dr. Kulman. He is amazing. His office staff is just as lovely.

Dr. Kulman was my surgeon. He literally saved my life last week when I required emergency surgery. His experience and expertise and excellent judgement in my emergency were wonderful. Today's office visit was very positive. I had my staples removed, which did not hurt at all, and the doctor spent time going over my case with me. I never want to need surgery again, but if I ever do, it will be with Dr. Kulman. My wife and I are so grateful.

Dr. Kulman successfully operated me after going to the ER with a severe case of appendicitis on Christmas. I stayed 8 days at the hospital due the nature of the infection and Dr. Kulman came over countless times to follow up with no rush. I have two MD friends that work at the SMH ER that assured me Dr. Kulman would be their pick to operate them if they ever needed such procedure. Nothing else to add. Professional and caring which sets him above many other doctors nowadays.

Dr Kulman was on call the night my daughter went to the SMH ER with appendicitis. He was very kind and caring, the surgery was taken care of quickly, and Dr Kulman came to sit with me and discuss my daughter after her surgery was completed. My daughter and I both felt very at ease with him. I was also reassured by the Anesthesiologist and the pre-op staff that she was in good hands and that he "makes good judgments". Thank you Dr Kulman for taking such good care of my daughter (17yrs old) :)
