Dishonest consulting physician for Cigna
My MRI clearly shows a torn tendon in my shoulder, with much pain for the past 7 months. Somehow, without ever seeing me, and contrary to my orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Allen has determined that repairing my torn tendon is not medically necessary. Cigna, my insurance provider who hired Dr. Allen to pre-approve my procedure, is thrilled to take his advice and so I have to pay out of pocket. Dr. Allen's recommendation in this matter is laughable.

This 76 year old retired physician rejected my preauthorization for 2 MRI scans. He is no longer practicing for decades now. Cigna is employing old and senile retired doctors to make decisions on patients lives. Go back to your nursing home Mr. Allen, no longer doctor.

Poor insurance consultant
He is listed as the reviewing doctor for an insurance company. I have cysts in my joints and the physician recommended an MRI. Dr Allen denied the claim for insurance and recommended an X-ray. Why the need for an extra step and exam that would not provide any benefit?

Horrible
Clearly he should retire. I am in need of my 3rd mri and this clown consulted with the insurance company and they denied my claim based on his “recommendation” Keep in mind he’s never seen me, I had back surgery already due to bulging disks. I have constant pain which I’ve learned to live with. I went to my primary because I’m having major pain flairs that drop me to my knees where I cannot stand or move. Yet an X-ray is recommended which didn’t show the bulging disks initially, nor the ct scan it was the mri. But somehow vs recommending an mri first I should make sure the insurance company needs to fork out money for an X-ray, more physical therapy oh and go on more meds vs 1 mri to properly reassess what has changed. I hope to god they don’t send me to the obgyn for another unneeded vaginal ultrasound because god forbid I know my own body and know it’s my back. Criminal
