Horrible Experience
I had a horrible experience with this doctor. I Would never recommend him, not even to my worst enemy. Did not listen to me at all and was making jokes about my health conditions. Dr. Akiki has terrible bedside manners.

Dr Akiki was very professional, he listened to my concerns and my symptoms patiently. He was pleasant and even had a nice sense of humor. I felt very comfortable with him and with his recommendations and initial diagnosis.

Great Cardiologist
I was referred to Dr. Akiki by my primary care doctor when my blood pressure and cholesterol was out of control despite being on high doses of cholesterol and BP medications. He immediately identified the problem and now my numbers are great! He does not have a great bedside manner but who cares? I would rather have a good, knowledgeable doctor like Dr. Akiki rather than a nice but incompetent one.

I think Akiki is a good doctor. But the office staff is rated at poor the very best. Taking to long to reply with clearance cost me. Two different occasion once a knee operation and this year it cost me an app to save my deductible. Another time paying a co pay i didn't have to pay. T

Recently i had a heart attack. I went to Akiki for a followup exam. He is horrible. First, I stayed in the waiting room for a visit that was less than 15 minutes. He came in, told me my problem, did not listen to anything I had to say, dismissed me without addressing any of my concerns. I knew before I left out that I would not be returning. No bedside manner. Where did they get this guy?

I will not be returning. He was Rude, condescending and only seemed to care about whether or not he would suffer at any decision he made. I am medically trained and very proactive when it comes to my medical history and experiences (and only needed a very slight change to decades long therapy), yet he would not listen and when I called him out on not listen, he just laughed and said "how would it look if I made that change and you died- I wouldn't look very good". He's a disgrace to medicine

He was rude, unfriendly, abrasive, did not want to listen to my reason for being there. As soon as he opened the door, he asked me, "What are YOU doing here?" Mentioned that I was too young to have heart problems. Once he found out my cholesterol was a bit high, he was quick to put me on lipitor but told me that he wouldn't take it himself though his numbers were almost exactly like mine. Interrupted me often and corrected my feelings about the way my heart raced & flipped in my chest.
