Dr. Hanh Truong, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Truong for some 30 years now. She used to be really good, cordial, attentive, and listened to my concerns. However, that has changed over the years to now where she is rushing the appointments, does not listen, and is intent on getting you out the door as fast as possible. The front office has always been a problem for this practice as no one ever answers the phone. This office does not value your time as wait times are over an hour. Appointments now are more than two months out for yearly physical exams. This is because the doctor only works half days on Wednesday and Friday. Communication is almost non-existent. Getting a prescription refill is like dealing with a government bureaucracy and takes up to a week. I have thus decided to find another doctor.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Truong for over 10yrs now she is an excellent doctor but because the practice of overbooking (multiple patients with the same appointment time) patients which results in long wait times has become a very big issue especially when you sometimes have to wait 2 hrs just to see her. Very inconsiderate of your time. Considering changing doctors. When these issues were brought up to the doctor it was blown off as not a big deal.

I saw Dr. Truong several weeks ago because I was looking for a new PCP. I waited more than 1 hour to be seen, then another 20 minutes in treatment room before being seen by the doctor for less than 15 min. Very rushed visit. She did not give adequate instructions for how to follow up with treatment for the issue I had come in for, simply said I would need additional testing to determine the cause. She didn't offer to order the tests and didn't tell me whether I needed to see a specialist.

I have been with her for over 20 years . She is good but her staff is not. She has no RN and other personnel to assist her. Patient care is compromised. I have to wait days for my refills. It’s very frustrating to call her office and Pharmacy back and forth sometimes for days . Thinking of changing the Doctor.

She has been my family doctor for 16 years. She listens intently and genuinely cares about you. Open minded professional who has a wide ranging body of medical experience to draw from as a doctor. Please note there are no RN support staff. Only nurse assistants. All very friendly and professional. The only issue I have ever had is with medication refills taking a little longer for approval and the occasional medication/insurance pre-authorization letter. She is very popular and it is clear her staff does struggle a bit to keep up with the volume of patients. But this is the case in almost every doctors office these days.

Dr Truong is so intelligent and kind. She is a great diagnostrician around. I have been going to her for 25 years. She has always guided me correctly. My two daughters have gone to her too for years.

I am sorry to say I was greatly disappointed her staff is terrible I have been calling her office for 3 days with Dizzyness issu left several messages never got back to me Dr Troung has no RNs working The are Nurse Assitant had to call my insurance to schedule with another Doctor I am frustrated having no response to my issues This is not the 1st time that this type of incident has occurred. I will never recommend this physician. I welcome any rebuttals

Dr. Truong was my primary care physician for 9 years in Houston/Sugar Land. A year ago I had to move to Pensacola, Florida, and all I can say is I MISS HER SO MUCH! The office isn't always as organized as it could be, but she listened carefully, was compassionate, and always got me to the right specialist when needed. I wish she'd move to Pensacola.
