Best Urologist by far in Mississippi
If you need a Dr. that will listen to you and take your health serious this is the guy to see. He understands unique problems and even takes to time to explain. I know I can be a little much sometimes but he knows how to handle me unlike most of Dr's.

Melissa ruined my experience with Dr. Liddell
Dr. Liddell is a very nice man, however I felt rushed they were a bit too eager for collecting my money. I had some severe pain issues and wanted a phone call from the doctor and Melissa his nurse nearly shouted at me and said, “We are not going to go down every rabbit hole with you!” When I expressed concern about the pain I was having. That is HER JOB. The staff at Southern Urology has the nastiest southern women working for them. I don’t see how a junior college education makes them think they know anything about medicine. I suppose ultimately, the doctors should make themselves more available to the patient and not screen calls. Also, the nasty woman who makes appointments would not give me one after I had been to the ER the day prior. I had the threaten her legally as the ER doctor told me that have to see me within as the referring doctor. If you want care removed from the healthcare, go here. It does not matter how good the doctor is, if you cannot ever reach him as his patient.

There was a delay in being seen by Dr. Liddell, but it was explained that an emergency issue had come up that he had to resolve. During that time his nurse Melissa kept me informed and was extremely helpful as always. Once Dr. Liddell came in, he apologized for the delay and spent more time than usual talking to me and discussing my condition.

Developed bladder cancer in the spring of 2019 and had to have surgery at Merit. I have continued to have quarterly followups and additional treatment procedures recently as it came back spring 2020. I couldn't be happier with the attentiveness given to make sure that my case is followed successfully. The staff and surgery center have been great! The confidence they give you in treating you is welcomed.

I've been his patient over 10 years (prostrate). He identified my prostrate cancer (Gleeson scale 8) in 2012, and has continued to treat me following successful seeding results by Oncologist. Spends time with you and explains your treatment options in plain language. Very personable.

Dr. Liddell is a very professional doctor, he is thorough, precise in his analysis and answers questions and addresses patient concerns. He will definitely be my urologist as long as I need care. I was referred to him by my primary care physician and was given an appointment the day my referral was received due to the condition I was referred for.
